@BLP_Software Yeah, that's true. I was thinking of Gravity and Iron Ball as ways to make the ability "useful". I was more thinking of an ability that causes a Pokemon to be affected by a move/effect that it would otherwise not be affected by.
Of course, it's possible in theory, but it sounds a bit too complicated for it to happen, even for Pokemon standards.
@Tsurii Noctowl would count as a Flying type and thus immune to Ground moves save an attack like Soak, Smack Down or Gravity or an item that does such, while getting a benefit Flying types dont get.
And again, double battle. Tapu Lele. Give Noctowl the Psychic Seed and laugh. Itll get a stat buff. Priority moves wont work. All its moves will hit, and you cant use the common Earthquake to hit both at once as one is still technically Flying even though it isnt because of terrain.
This means youd have an immediately buffed Noctowl immune to the most common and effective AOE in the game and priority moves while also having Tapu Lele doing what it does.

@Tyranexx I liked the Sun/Moon leaks. A Chinese guy posted random images on an obscure (to us) Chinese forum and left us guessing what it could be until it was revealed a couple of days later. I guess they tightened the security at their Chinese localisation team this time around.
@Tsurii Not as far as I'm aware. He ''quit'' leaking stuff some time before the launch of SM last year and hasn't leaked anything since. People post their own fake leaks on the same forum he used, so people call them ''Chinese'' leaks, but they're not real and not linked to that riddler guy.
So, apparently the anime's gonna do something with Ash's Rockruff and people are expecting it to become a third Lycanroc form (apparently they talk about evolution during the latest episode preview)
May be related to that dude visiting Poke...whatever. May as well be nothing at all tho
It looks like his Rockruff is evolving at dusk, right in between day and night.
It also explains why Global Link says Lycanroc has 4 forms:
A dusk and dawn form. Sunrise, sunset form, or something along those lines. Some merch is going to be revealed in a few days from now, and it has been speculated that it's related to a new form/Pokemon.
Lycanroc Sunset Form: level up Rockruff with Max friendship at the sunset hour while holding the Green Dew when playing Ultra Sun.
The defense and attack stats must be the exact same number, and you need to have Tapu Lele in your party, but NOT Caterpie, because then the evolution won't happen.
Also you need to hold your 3DS sideways pointing at the direction of the sun.
You must've tried to use the Stone Stone on the same rockruff at least once for the evolution to trigger.
And I think there's something in braille I'm forgetting about.
