1. Super Mario 3D Land - It deserves this spot. No questions asked.
2. CRUSH3D - Never played the original, and the concept is brilliant
3. Mario Kart 7
4. Mighty Switch Force
5. Art Of Balance: Touch
6. Pilotwings Resort
7. Super Street Fighter IV (Haven't played much yet)
8. Dillon's Rolling Western
9. Bit. Trip SAGA - As a port, easy to recommend but hard to rank highly.
10. Cave Story 3D - Again, it's a port, and there are FAR CHEAPER options, plus this will be obsolete very soon.
This is a signature.
Link goes here now.
Screw you.
After looking through these lists, I'm happy to see DOAD getting more love than SSFIV3D
I love both games, but DOAD just fits the 3DS much better, IMO. Honestly don't know why review sites always have these two in switched positions compared to the general 3DS owning population.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Ocarina, KIU, and NSMB2 are my favorites so far, and Ocarina is the only really stellar one in that bunch, imho. shhhh yes, I don't think KI is stellar — chapters were stupid long, multiplayer can be horribly annoying, weapon fusion is a chore, etc. etc. definitely a fun game though.
I haven't played RE:Rev, MGS3, or TotA, so I don't how those would rank. They're not really my type of games though anyway.
15) New Art Academy
I'm not really that good a drawer, but this has actually helped.A bucket load of lessons, and hoards of tools to use, makes this a fun little art game.
14)Sonic Generations
Even though the main game is incredibly short (2-3 hours),this is a fun stop of Sonic's past and present, bonus missions, and loads of unlockables, does soften the blow of a shot main game.
13)Shinobi
A hard as nails action platformer is one of the finest games on the handheld, yes it's incredibly hard, but it's so darn fun.
12)Rhythm Thief and the Emperors Treasure
A mix of different types of rhythm games, and the exploration of the Layton games, proves good,in this fun adventure, that deserves a sequel.
11)Theatrhythm Final Fantasy
Even if the 3DS does get a Elite Beat Agents sequel,we still have Theatrhythm, and boy what a game it is.
10)New Super Mario Bros 2
I wasn't really a fan of the past 2 games, but this one I really like,a fun little game, that could last quite a while.
9)Mario Kart 7
Way better than the "Meh" Wii game, even if there isn't much for the single player.
8)Dead or Alive Dimension
Who needs the overrated, and utter bore-fest that was Street Fighter IV,this fighter has far more brain than boob,so to speak.
7)Star Fox 64 3D
The best Star Fox game returns with the Ocarina treatment, and while there's not online,it's still a dam fun game.
6)Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater 3D
A port it may be,but it's one of the most ingaging games on the handheld, with a fantastic console experience.
5)Resident Evil Revelations
A massive big budget 3DS title, that shows what the handheld can do,even if the game isn't really that scary,it's still a dam fun game.
4)Ocarina of Time 3D
A brilliant remake of one the best games of all time, and while I enjoyed it,I still prefer Twilight Princess.
3.Kingdom Heart 3D Dream Drop Distance
Now this is how you do a KH game on a Nintendo console,a beautiful looking game, with one of the most riches experiences you can find of the 3DS.
2.Super Mario 3D Land
The best portable Mario game ever, and so soon after Galaxy 2,I'm surprise they made this belter, even if it's a bit easy.
1.Kid Icarus Uprising
The funniest, longest, jam packed game on the 3DS,A must buy.
Nobody's mentioned Sonic Generations?! That game was a welcome addition to the series and I think it's one of the better ones.
i love sonic only reason i didnt put it cause i never played it on the 3ds i played the ps3 version soo i had no say in the 3ds version but i bet it was amazing like all sonic games
sonic generations 3ds sucks. The only good portable sonic game was on the neo geo pocket color & no one bought it because the system bombed.

Not changing my statements until mario party 1 gets on the virtual console.

The game was brilliant, even if the main single player mode was short,(at a poor 2-3hours)but Sega did put a online multi-player mode,a mission mode, and hordes of unlockables.
I still kinda wish Sega made a Wii version of Generations.

3. Mario Kart 7
2. Super Mario 3D Land
1. New Super Mario Brothers 2
Nearly every moment of New Super Mario Brothers 2 is a reward that goes towards the game's richest goal: one million coins. In addition, collecting as many coins in a level as possible is only slightly under actually completing a level, so I found that the game is open widely to exploration in discovering which routes in a level lead to the most coins. Coin Rush is highly addictive too, and is very fun with the Gold Flower stocked. That powerup probably being my new favorite of the series.
"The secret to ultimate power lies in the Alimbic Cluster."
Not in any order, and I didn't include any apps like Colours! 3D.
01. Star Fox 64 3D
02. HM A Tale of Two Towns
03. Pinball Hall of Fame: Williams Collection
04. Super Mario 3D Land
05. Pushmo
06. Theatrythmn FF
07. The Sims 3 Pets
08. Ridge Racer 3D
09. Nintendogs + Cats
10. 3D Classics: Xevious
Lets see... Since I have 11 carts one will have to be booted... D:
10)Nintendogs + Cats: French Poodles: Meh, it's nintendogs...
9)Asphalt 3D: Became obsolete after Mario Kart 7
8)Cubic Ninja: Really fun, underrated game. Can't keep my attention, though.
7)Super Monkey Ball 3D: A little short and easy, but addictive.
6)Wipeout 2: Glitches aside, this was the most fun on my 3DS all of February
5)Mario Kart 7: Super fun, but lack of Waluigi and Dry Bones push this game down.
4)Dead or Alive Dimensions: The first 3DS game I bought, and wow, this game rocks.
3)TLoZOoT3D: Super awesome game, but I suck at it.
2)Kid Icarus Uprising: This game was awesome and amazing at first, but I lost interest recently.
1)Super Mario 3D Land: This game is pure, freaking, GENIUS.
Honorable Mention: Nintendogs + Cats: Golden Retrievers
Nobody's mentioned Sonic Generations?! That game was a welcome addition to the series and I think it's one of the better ones.

Well my list will be short since I dont own that many 3DS games and I dont think it right adding VC games to the list since those aren't technically 3DS games. Anyway here it goes.
1. NSMB2 - This game just amazed me. I had really low expectations for this one especially after playing NSMBW but after playing this a few days I can say its my favorite 3DS game.
2. Mario Kart 7: Its Mario Kart enough said that and they brought back my favorite course of all time Mario Circuit 2 from the SNES game.
3. Lego Batman 2: A way better improvement over the first Lego Batman game. Plus the fact that you got to play as other DC heroes made this game a winner.
4. SM3DL: This game was ok I expected alot more. The Koopling battles just seemed to be rehashed from their fights in SMB3 and SMW and the fact that to get into the castles you had to have a certain amount of coins. Freakin annoyed me still haven't been able to get into the last castle.
5. Heroes of Ruin: I only played the demo but from what I played of that I can tell I will love this game when I get the funds to purchase it. Since I only played the demo I didnt think it was fair to rate it higher on my list otherwise I probably would have.
