Topic: Now that IGN has listed their top ten 3DS games, how about we discuss our personal favorites?

Exactly what the title says. To start off:
10. Dillon's Rolling Western: Between the fun touch-screen controls, relatively funny dialouge, and cool TNT throwing animation, this game is sweet. It's funny that a game so cool and slick was made by the same people who make Tingle games. Makes me wonder how fun those games are (except for the fact that Tingle's in 'em).
9. Pushmo: Okay I have not finished this as I am utterly stuck. However I still love coming back once in a while and replaying the Nintendo murals (as well as a few Kid Icarus puzzles I created). But most of all, my favorite part is the jump physics. They're just so... bouncy! WEEEEEEEE!
8.Dead or Alive Dimensions: Not only dose this have better replayability than Street Fighter (cough, hidden characters, cough) but it also has the Metroid stage with Ridley's theme!
6. Starfox 64 3D: Sure the original Star Fox quotes could make you giggle, but I just laughed out loud at the new phrases characters would spout every once in a while. Also the multiplayer, while offline only, is really fun and chaotic, especially if you have 4 players.
5. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D: You know why! Move along.
4. Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D: After beating this impressive game I soon discovered that it felt completely different with my new stealth camoflouge! Can you say, "Crotch Snipe!"
3. Super Mario 3D Land: I love the combination of 3D and 2D elements in this game. Even though I've played it to death I still keep finding new and interesting things! Did you know you could blow into the mic. to scatter dandelions?
2. New Super Mario Bro.s 2: It might just be because it's newer, but I really like the level designs, gold power-ups and music. While a couple pieces hurt my ears, it all still leaves me with a happy feeling.
1. Kid Icarus Uprising: Platformers are my absolute, most favorite genre of video games. But the two Mario games are definitely lacking originality. This game on the other hand is the funniest, hardest, most addictive, game on the 3DS. The enemies have funny names, every piece of conversation is quotable (Pit Stain), and the boss battles are varied and epic. There's even a hidden message from the (now deceased) final boss after the credits! There's just so much to love about this game.
Either way this topic is useless because just like the ign forum this'll just escalate into an argument about Kid Icarus' Controls. Ah well, Happy gaming!

"...It's funny because marriage is terrible!"
If you know the origin of both of those quotes, then you're awesome!

1. Ocarina of Time: Well, it's a better version of a game I liked. Was fun replaying it again.
2. Kid Icarus: Awesome music and a fun story mode... That was about it for me. Also those controls.
3. Mario Kart 7: It's ok but also just annoying. The only time I win is if I stay in 5-7 place for the first few laps of the race so I can get all the good items by the last lap.
4. Dead or Alive Dimensions: Pretty tedious story mode and you have to unlock just about every character. Go play Virtua Fighter.

10) Farming Simulator 2012
There’s something therapeutic about this game – it plays a bit like model trains, really, slow-paced and largely aimless.

9) Marvel Pinball 3DS
Zen Pinball is close, but that Captain America table is incredible

8) Samurai Warriors Chronicles
Still my most played 3DS game, despite not having touched it in months. Not the best Warriors game, but a good attempt for an underpowered console.

7) Dead or Alive Dimensions
3D jiggle. Accessible fighting system. Happy me.

6) Ace Combat
I’ve decided I like fighter flight sims. This is no Birds of Steel, but it’s good arcade fun.

5) Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns
It’s Harvest Moon. End of story

4) Pushmo
Cheerful visuals and creative charm mixed with some clever puzzles.

3) Colors! 3D
A fun and easy-to-use art program, even for complete dunces like myself. Can’t beat that.

2) New Love Plus Tools
Kinda needed it to get the most out of New Love Plus, which is pretty much the only reason I’m hanging on to my Japanese 3DS

1) Theatrhythm
A love letter to Final Fantasy fans, and I’ve been one of those for 20 years or so.

My top 5...I think a top 10 is impossible for me right now. xD

1. Kid Icarus Uprising: I had a hard time deciding this or Kingdom Hearts, but decided to throw this up to #1. I mean, the game is awesome, and the main reason, it made me laugh! xD
2. Kingdom Hearts 3D: Main reasons, it feels like a home console game...and it has freakin new worlds! (Tron and the Fantasia levels are awesome)
3. Super Mario 3D Land: Its almost IMPOSSIBLE for me to play this game with the 3D turned off....yes, that's my reason, lol.
4. Mario Kart 7: I think I prefer this series on handhelds, loved the DS game...this one is even better.
5. OoT 3D: Normally I could care less about remakes, but when playing this game on the Wii's VC I couldn't stop thinking about what it would look like in 3D...ended up buying this day 1. lol (that and I've never really spent much time on Master Quest before, so whatever)

10. Super Street Fighter IV - It's the same Street Fighter we know and love, just in 3D. No unlockables and broken online hinder it, though.

9. Samurai Warriors: Chronicles - Competent hack & slash with loads of content.

8. Mario Kart 7 - Fun (especially online), but never gave me the "wow" factor.

7. Super Mario 3D Land - Again, fun game, but I wasn't wowed.

6. Ace Combat: AHL - Addictive arcade style dogfighter. Love unlocking all the real-world aircraft.

5. Kid Icarus: Uprising - Fun characters (and story), lengthy single player mode, and a very fun online mode. As a lefty, the controls weren't perfect for me, though.

4. Dead or Alive Dimensions - Loads of unlockables, fun and fast paced fighting, fun online, looks great, and has a Metroid arena. What's not to love?

3. Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D - First time playing. Wonderful classic that still holds up.

2. Metal Gear Solid 3D - First Time playing. Unique bosses, fun stealth, and had a thrilling story from beginning to end. Also, hidden Yoshi's!

1. Tales of the Abyss - First time playing. EPIC 50 hour RPG. Love every facet of this game. Going to start a 2nd playthrough soon.

(list doesn't include eShop games)

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

From what I have owned:

5. Super Mario 3D Land - so far I have spend the most time on this game but for some reason I just didn't enjoy it as much as I would've liked. I have always enjoyed the 2d games more though. Still a quality game though.

4. Mighty Switch Force - great little game and the dlc was a nice bonus.

3. Mutant Mudds - great old school platformer that I just can't stop playing. Reminds me of the old 2d Duke Nukem games we used to get for pc back in the day.

2. Mario Kart 7 - Well, It's Mario Kart

1. New Super Mario Bros. 2 - I was very skeptical about this game at first because of the perceived lack of creativity. I was hooked from the first time I booted it up. The coin mechanic is a nice twist on things. IMO it's better than NSMBW. This is my first portable 2D Mario platformer and it's perfectly suited for portable play.

7. Mario Kart 7

  • Great online, good visuals & awesome new tracks but lackluster character rooster, the hang-gliders didn't feel all that fresh, i missed the 'mission' mode, too focused on multiplayer.

6. Dillon's Rolling Western

  • Great visuals and amount of content for a eShop game. It's a bit on the hard side, the annoyingly and painfully hard side. The end levels are just a pain to go through, not all that fun.

5. Super Mario 3D Land

  • A solid 3D Mario game. Best thing about it is the use of the 3D IMO. It's very unmemorable, has stale controls & camera angels get kind of weird at times, but a solid Mario title nonetheless.

4. Mutant Mudds

  • Best eShop game I've played yet by far. Great use of the 3D, clean sprite visuals and great artstyle, great gameplay, great level design, long, hard. It's just an awesome package. The only annoying thing about it is that you can only use one of the three major powerups at a time and can only switch between them in a certain place.

3. New Super Mario Bros 2

  • It's loads of fun. Visuals are OK, the 3D is absolutely worthless, rehashed songs, rehashed bosses and it cold have had more content. But it's a great package. It's loads of fun collecting all the starcoins, the coin collecting - while gimmicky - works as a theme and will get pretty addictive. I've really enjoyed my time with it. Lovely game.

2. TLOZ: Ocarina of Time 3D

  • Wonderful 3D remake of a wonderful game.

1. Resident Evil Revelations

  • Looks absolutely stunning with the 3D at full blast in both options and on the slider. Story is solid, gameplay is great and the online multiplayer can get addictive. Some, at times, tricky puzzles and it has moments where you will get low on ammo and have to fight for survival. It's a amazing handheld title.

Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

1. Kid Icarus Uprising - Its simply the perfect package. A 12-hour long campaign, perfect controls (which i have no problem with) excellent voice acting, beautiful graphics and presentation, LOADS of achievements and unlockables, ADDICTIVE weapon system, awesome multiplayer, and its simply a joy to play! An addictive, jam-packed, beautiful, unforgettable masterpiece!

2. Pushmo/Pullblox - Pullblox simply had me since the first puzzle I completed; I instantly knew I loved it! The mechanic behind it is so brilliant, fun and simple i'm so surprised no one has come up with it yet. It also has a beautiful, cute presentation, and there's tons of puzzles to complete. Also, you can spend HOURS on the puzzle creator! Its also the game on my 3ds I have played the most, and its so cheap!

3. Zelda OoT 3D - I actually haven't played this game until I got it on my 3ds (yeah, shame on me!) but after just a few hours, I was addicted! Its just such an epic, grand adventure that just simply has this 'thing' I cant quite identify that is so great about it, and the only reason this isn't number one is because I haven't finished it yet...

4. Super Mario 3D Land - Even though I have played the CRAP (excuse my french) out of previous 3D Marios, I loved Super Mario 3D Land. It's just so unique and great, being a hybrid of 2D and 3D platforming, that I adored every aspect of it. It's just so perfect! The 3D is put to such great use that I actually NEED it to play the game!

5. Mario Kart 7 - My favourite mario kart game! It took what was perfect about previous games and put it into one great package! The tracks are great, the graphics look BETTER than on the Wii version, the overall 'feel' of it just seems right and the online is addictive! Perfect!

Happy_Mask

1. Oot 3d (hate me all you like, it won't change my opinion)
2. KI:Uprising ( extremely close to oot because uprising is an extremely solid game)
3.New super Mario bros 2 (easy, but oh so fun)
4. Mario Kart 7 (they could have done more with the 1 player mode, and without friends, this game lacks replayibility)
5.Metal gear solid 3d (it has the second most amount of replay value and it's MGS3!)

Eshop:
1. Pushmo ( the best eshop game out there!)
2. Colors!3d ( really good drawing app, even though I'm a sucky artist )
The rest I have are all vc!

For someone constantly griping about chat every chance they get maybe you should follow your own advice; as getting angry over one persons opinion on some forum can't be healthy.
