Topic: New VC games in Japan

@oiiopo I understand that I guess. As of yet VVVVVV is the only western-developed game on the e-shop that I've been wanting. We don't get a lot of non-Japanese games.

So...it went from a single-person game, to a three-person company, then to the e-shop service. That's interesting.

EDIT: Oh, by the way, I just checked on the e-shop. They have an announcement that Yoshi's Egg and Balloon Fight will be coming soon. So I guess Wrecking Crew will be the last of the Ambassador NES games to be released.

Second EDIT!: Wait, hold off on that. I just checked Nintendo's website. It looks like that note I read was for the next update, not a tentative plan like I though. Both Yoshi's Egg and Balloon Fight are coming out on August 22nd, which will mean that all of the NES/Ambassador games other than Wrecking Crew will be out by the end of this month. I'm surprised at how quickly they're trying to get those out of the way here now.

It wouldn't surprise me if Wrecking Crew were the last. To properly support the game, they'd need to add Famicom BASIC Data Recorder emulation to support the save level function (like the Wii version does).

Japan could still get Wrecking Crew on August 29th

@SRArter I'm really hoping for other GB or GBC games, but that would still be cool, finish them off so the Ambassador games would all be done. I wonder why they sped it up? I'm not complaining at all, and them releasing Mario Golf today, when it wasn't even an update day was a really nice gesture on their part since the e-shop is having a week off next week.

@KingMike what is that? Is that for saving the game?

EDIT: Of course, I have an idea what could be happening when all the Ambassador NES/Famicom games are on the service, but I wouldn't dare say it out loud. Just...you know, hoping is enough

@TheDreamingHawk I tried. The e-mail page on their site wasn't working for some reason. And yeah, Wrecking Crew doesn't look that great. The only one of the Ambassador NES/Famicom games I bought was Zelda 1.

@LordOtakWiiU Maybe that's the point. Again, I'm hoping there's a special announcement/update once all 10 games are out publicly.

@Tsuchinoko Maybe Nintendo will announce something at Nintendo World 2012 in September or even at a Nintendo Direct in August.

Yeah sorry I'm to blame for some of the conflict... I don't try to cause harm, but people seem to like to tell me my opinion is wrong, and I always try to ask why and make them see what I mean before they just go on and bash me

@LordOtakWiiU No, thats nothing. When one user on here tells me to kill myself (you were in that conversation) that's taking it too far. Anyway, what I was referring to was an entire thread that was on the GBA games (which is as much of a legitimate topic as anything else, I mean, this is a game site, so anything is fair), but the thread was taken over by a bunch of other users basically calling us names and kicking us out of the thread we were using for a while for that conversation. We got called whiners, and a whole bunch of other things. I mean, there's threads on everything from the olympics, to what someone's favorite hamburger is. Why couldn't we talk about wanting GBA games, and be left alone?

Anyway, long story short, it would be nice if they sold GBA games on the e-shop. I would be happy. If not, thats fine. I'd consider it like a bonus.

I'm aware of this, and I actually didn't mention GBA my post because of this. They could also announce another non-Nintendo system for the 3DS VC at the conference as well.

Remake that thread, it's been a while since then.

Dont be afraid to speak your opinion. There may be those that dont understand the concepts of debates or criticisms - and cite any of these as 'whining', but dont let them get to you. This is a Nintendo fan site, so unfortunately there will be diehard fans who can take nothing negative about their favourite company - they're the ones with issues, so you need not worry. Besides, without that kind of conversation the forums become a much worse place.
