First try holding the power button for a few seconds to force the blue LED off. Then take both the game and SD cards out of the DS and turn it on to see if it still works.
If it does turn on, turn the DS off again to put the SD card in again and see if it works.

The LED turned off, I pressed the power button and back to square one. no screen, just LED. :/
