Topic: My 3DS system is slowing down! =(

Maybe, I'll try not going into the friend's menu as much. =( And power down more often.

I have not had a problem with it slowing down but the screen has gone black and I have to reboot in order to get it back to playing the game. It has only happened three times since I got it, which was a month ago. I save often enough that its not a big deal just annoying.

Hmmm...I think it has to be something beyond simply having too many friends, since I still encountered the problem despite having only about three on my list. Who knows whether it's simply system strain or some kind of Wi-Fi issue, but I don't think it's related to the amount of friends registered (or it would be a lesser factor, methinks).

That said, I rarely turn my system off and this one of the few times that anything wonky has happened.

its been also happening to me. it takes nearly 9 sec to boot up. it seems like its been slowing down to end tasks from the home menu. maybe its just the cpu design. but i don't get it a Nvidia tegra 2 would only make the 3DS cost about the same price and the performance was really great when they demo'ed it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpGtu_ZkwqA but yea nintendo can be awkward when it comes to selecting hardware...

I haven't had any issues with "slowing down" per say, though I have had some lag when playing DOA/SF online. However, that may have been because of my connection. I would assume the "slow down" you're talking about is because of a WiFi related issue, though I know very little in regards to the 3DS and WiFi.

I find, the longer I an in Friend's List, the longer it takes for it to oad back to the home screen.

Everything seems to be speed up again, right before theis NEW UPDATE WHICH IS TONIGHT!!!!!

That is definitely the problem. The 3DS OS is much faster than the other models.

okay my system is kinda slow showing the new downloaded games like exicte bike in the menu. there is a space first and after a few seconds the image gets loaded. it sucks. anyone else experiencing this?

Well havn't paid any attention to it, but it is possible that the delay is because the 3DS hads to read the data from the sd card. I don't know about the sd card included with the 3DS because I replaced it with a bigger and faster one from day one.

there is a difference in speed?? any sd-cards you could recommend? i need micro sd cardas for my phone. and up to 16gb would be nice

Well if I'm not mistaken the standard sd card included with the 3DS is 2 gb, whenever you go voer that amount (4gb, 8gb,...) you're talking about an sdhc card, meaning more storage space and a slightly faster card. Of course you can also buy real high speed cards, but those are meant for digital video camera's and fast shooting high quality still cameras and they are way more expensive + I have no idea if the real fast ones make a difference in a 3DS.

EDIT: Of course I'm not really sure if that is the problem here, just an idea

Before the update, some speed issues with the friends list when suspending a game...
after the update, Damn stuttering on the character select menu on Dead or Alive!!!!!

I know which I would rather have.
