Topic: More AR Cards to come?

This is purely speculation, but notice how the six cards have a two digit code/number in the bottom left? All of the current ones have a number starting with A, followed by a number 1-6 eg. the question block is A-1, Samus is A-5.

Could a second series be released, with codes beginning with B (and so on)?

In my opinion the AR cards are a disappointment. I may be wrong but I really struggle to get my 3DS to notice the cards. Are there any tricks ?

That would be interesting. Nintendo could release a system update so our 3DS's could recognize the cards, then they could sell them or release them as club nintendo prizes.

I know with the DSi, lighting is VERY important, so maybe you should experiment at different places/times of day.

Yes more can come. And you probably won't even have to buy them, it could be as simple as giving you a picture to print out, because the 3DS is only looking for the card image

The camera pictures come out terrible in low light, though.

Obviously, we should see more, regardless of little digits on an AR card.

Id love see every game that comes out should have 1 Ar card in them
and when use it You'll see character a car or landscape to do with that game that be really cool

I was actually talking with a friend a few days ago, and we kind of agreed that Nintendo could always make different AR cards for more games, or allow 3DS devs to make their own to use in their games. Obviously the technology is there and can be upgraded/augmented, there's no reason more cards can't be made.

Hah, this all reminds me of the e-Reader on the GBA. I completely bought in to it when it came out, and the support for It looked promising. I really thought that was going to be the future, Nintendo inexpensively distributing cards that would unlock nifty things on the system.

...but that soon failed (to no one's surprise). Let's hope Nintendo will continue to support AR cards.

Why do we need more actual cards? All they need to do is make different games that use the standard ? card for reference. I hope a trend of different little AR games via 3DSWare starts. I would so pay a couple bucks for new AR software!

I think packaging a card with a game is a great idea, if only a character card that you can take photos with. Heck they could even go all out and sell them in cheap packs of 5 like trading cards.
