Molten Tigrex is very tough, and it will be a struggle for me to defeat it using my current weapons and armour.

For now, I'm not going to worry about it or the other remaining high rank caravan requests, and I will instead try out the high rank gathering hall requests.

These tips sound great, thanks. I've never tried evasion, though multiple people say that it is good to have. I'll have a look later to see if there's any easy to aquire armour upgrades. Currently, some of its attacks easily knocks out a third of my health, making me lose if it does a brutal combination of attacks.

The thing that catches me out most is when it charges towards you, since it's hard to move out of the way if I have a weapon drawn. I guess I should try attacking from behind more.

Edit: Yay, I defeated Molten Tigrex. It wasn't so bad when I switched my water Long Sword for my ice Dual Blades. I thought the Long Sword would have been best since water was the best element against the monster, but I found the Dual Blades were much more suited to this monster, as it was so much easier to attack and evade with them.

Ugh...any tips on Raging Brachydios, and...dare I ask..."Monster Hunter!"? T.T

I haven't really tried Raging Brachy alone but Monster Hunter would be a stretch...

Seriously, after you beat the OP tigrex, comes along a frenzied brachy and zinogre. And the middle fence is disabled. I think this stage is probably the hardest since the thought of taking them on both seems pretty torturous to me. The Apex Seregios and Chaotic Gore Magala don't sound quite as bad since they'd probably be one at once.

Unless I am wrong and you have to apex Serg and Chaotic at same time 0.0

Yeah I rage quitted the game for a while...Tigrex just irritates me to the extreme. Also, I think it's just a normal Gore in that quest. (but he starts out in Frenzied Mode)

But enraged regular Gore.

Got a max raw G.S relic today with slots and natural 20 purple sharpness no ele or abnormal on it but its a power house. Made a new set for it, got 1920 Attk and 786 Def un-buffed!

Well....I looked up Guild Quests a bit more, decided to play 4U again. Since I got my Deviljho quest up to level 136, it looks like I'm finally able to fight his Apex form. Doubt I'll be able to take him down...

...That reminds me, how much of a difference in health does this Jho have compared to the event Apex Jho? Kinda figured it would be the same.

Dual 140 Oroshi Kirin is fun and intense and all... but I don't think it's 'good' in design terms. That fight forces you to swivel 360 degrees so much (and so quickly) that it highlights the shortcomings of the target camera + d-pad combo (even with the panning on ZL and ZR on new 3ds [the nub is useless in fights]).

Anyway, was fun, can barely get a hit in, everything that I do bounces, not super eager to go again :/

Guild Quests were probably my least favourite addition to Monster Hunter 4, that's why I haven't really bothered trying to level up a few quests to 140 lol.

Well yea the Guild quests were definitely overkill. They did offer the biggest "challenge" by buffing up the monsters to insane degrees at the end, but requiring you to go through the quest dozens of times to get it to that level. And then drops were still a chance play.

The GQ system would have been much better with more level ups per iteration and maybe better drop rates? As of now the main motivation for people is fashion armour and plain overkill. Due to my increased workload I have been unable to spare time for MH considering it is a sit down and play for multiple hours type of game. I still need to level 5 quests to 140.... Help please xD

@DarthNocturnal: Yea that function is there for tons of games, but don't know if Capcom would implement. After all they chose to use relics for armor skins rather than putting in that feature.

Xenoblade X also had it. I would probably put something else on (not sure) but that function would be so much more convenient.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing tonight, but does anyone want to help me with farming Apex monsters? Need Large Zenniths. I REALLY don't want to solo Apex Rajang again. xD

Also I got a Guild Quest with Jho and Seregios, figured I'd save that one just because it sounds insane. lol

I am out of assignment rush, thankfully, so I guess I will be available for hunts again.
