Bleh, the only monsters added in P3rd besides awesome Jinouga and possibly dobo/amatsu (haven't fought them yet) are lots of Pelagus things (rabbits and armadillos and bears, oh my!) and little minions. They better bring over Jinouga, but other than that the rest can leave ;___;

(and that Leviathan) Eh, still new monsters regardless. xD Dunno about the subs though.

Currently playing: 3DS: KI: Uprising Wii: Xenoblade Chronicles "Heh, heh... Thanks... You're nice. Umm... Can I ask... a question? Your friends... What kind of... people are they? I wonder... Do these people... think of you...as a friend?"

Localizing is a big, expensive project. And its not just a matter of using one version of English and shipping it to everyone. Other people speak different languages, and Americans speak their own version of English. Each time that's a different, expensive localisation project.
A company might take a risk with a couple of game's, but if they don't succeed, then of course the company isn't going to continue doing so for marginal profit. On top of that, Capcom had financing from Nintendo for the Wii game to subsidize the costs. There's no indication Nintendo would do that again.
Life isn't as basic as you believe, tendoboy. I have told you this numerous occasions, and you refuse to listen. There are entire textbooks dedicated to localization. So no, just releasing it everywhere does not guarantee sales.

If this were true (just questioning), then why do the Samurai Warriors games keep getting localized? Just a quick glance at VGChartz shows that Monster Hunter sells way more than those over here, and it seems like the SW games have a lot more text (aka more expensive to localize).
Monster Hunter Tri sold half as many units as it did in Japan, which is pretty good imho. Granted, the Wii has a huge userbase, but when 3DS owners everywhere are more or less starved of games then I'd think that they'd jump on a game like this. And honestly, in a game like MH where there's more weapons than dialog, it's not going to matter much what "version" of English you use. Hell, the online chat in Tri even censored foreign cuss words, aftcr all.
Is it a bird? a plain? No it's Monster Hunter for the 3ds!!!!!! OMG fangasm .... welll now that's outta the way.... it's a bummer it needs the analog attatchment.... and no complete confirmation for online... on the plus side, maybe you can link up with others on your friend list who have it... oh and the analog pad? I'm sure that someone will make an egronomic version... CTA Digital Perhaps...

My point is that companies should localize DURING development, instead of waiting till AFTER the game is done being made.
If localizing is such a tedious procedure, then we wouldn't be seeing any Japanese games in the US at all. Let's just keep all the American games in America, all the European games in Europe, and all the Japanese games in Japan. Let's ignore the progression of globalization and just stick to our own countries. There. you happy now?

Because stuff can change during a games development. A story can go through hundreds of revisions before being done, and even then dialog and item names can change as well.
