Alright. Sorry if that offended you in anyway. There is a legitimate reason why I even posted that, but I can't obviously share it here (one, it's not related to this thread in any way). Then again, unnecessary drama is unnecessary. Especially in forums.

Anyhow, seems like discussion kinda died out. Was hoping they wouldn't embargo the news from captivate and possibly seeing MH on 3DS or any other form.

Can u imagine meeting up online chating using speaker to form strategys to kill monsters.

Plus it be great to see streetpass used. Collecting monster figures and having them battle in pokemon style fashion like SSF4.
Maybe spotpass for DLC like weapons, quests and armour etc!!!

If it were to have voice chat, hopefully it won't effect the population in a city. MHTri was supposed to have 10 people in a city but was brought down to 4 because of the demand of voice chat. And I barely used it :/

Er, I doubt MH3DS could have nearly the online experience that MHT had, though I could be wrong. An online game like this on a portable with no lag could be awesome, if it's possible.

Time will tell. With Nintendo ditching Wi-Fi connection (you know, that blue dot) for the 3DS, the online experience will surely be different. Then again, MHTri did not use NWFC, and I'm not sure what 'service' SSF3D or DoA are using, be it Nintendo's new online service or not. But judging how smooth SSF3D is while playing online, I'm sure we'll have a decent online component for MH3DS. One problem in MHTri was syncing- where other hunter's were not 'hitting' the weaker monsters even though they were 'attacking' something. Glad that didn't affect fighting the bigger mommas.

@komic: Yeah, it's because the first person who enters an area (or it might be the person seen by the monster first, I forget) in that game is like the 'host' for that area, and they have what goes on in real time (which is why I've heard the hammer peoples should go into an area first for attacking the head). Usually that person doesn't see much of the big monsters transporting around, but us who didn't go in there first see it lots (or at least I do). With the smaller monsters, I think they just move independently for each person, which is why many times others seem to be attacking/carving nothing. It's not really a big deal with the small guys though.

I think Capcom would be smart to do a local multi whether they do online or not, and if they do have online to have them together (like your HR is the same for both).

How does 3rd work exactly on the PSP anyways? Like, are you able to solo high rank completely offline or something? Many times where I just rather hunt by myself, but at the same time have challenging battles...and offline on Tri are just...boring once you get high rank stuff...
