Just beat maka wuhu world record... OMG I hope nobody beats me. GO TEAM SHYGUY!
Best cheater in the world? Nothing to be proud of tbqh.
That's totally something to be proud of, Masterox is king of Cheaters! I've noticed lately a lot of people online have been voting for Toad Circuit, last night it was picked 3 times in a row! I think every course is fun, but seriously 3 times in a row, come on people. I guess I just don't like that track as much as everyone else.
@Wildvine23: They might've been doing something group-specific for some reason. There was one night a bunch of us got together and ran down the line, choosing every track from every GP in order. I was only able to get in for the last few GPs, but it was a lot of fun — and most of the randoms seemed to get the hint regarding what we were trying to do, so they were joining in. :3
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3
[16:43] James: I should learn these site rules more clearly
[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
Well, like a lot of people I'm getting fed up with players choosing Maka Wuhu online. It's not that it's cheating that annoys me,it's that I want to play a racing game. I can maybe understand the excitement of the first person who discovered the glitch, but how is it enjoyable if everyone is doing it? If people want to repeatedly fall into a hole they should play Lemmings.
I'll bet that most of you already know that in "launch tunnels" (like DS Waluigi Pinball), you can go faster by pushing down on the circle pad. However, I'll also bet that most of you didn't know that if you push and hold up on the circle pad (tilting your kart forwards) before diving into water, you'll enter the water with more power and get a momentary speed boost. Try it, it's useful for getting a small headstart on water-themed levels like Cheep Cheep Lagoon. If done correctly you should see a twin trail of bubbles come out from behind your kart's wheels, and the splashing sound should be louder and longer than usual.

I'm definitely not liking both Wuhu tracks now. I've run into Wuhu Island Loop spammers now, how sad I was to learn that it was glitched too, albeit not as severe as Maka Wuhu...But Still.
@NeonShell7 I knew that before! Seriously. You're supposed to keep it a secret! Now everyone knows!
Well, I don't think many others know, because I never see anyone using it online. But it's really not much of a secret since it's in the notifications list of anyone who has spotpass turned on for MK7. It's just that few people actually bother to check and/or read their notifications. Maybe it would have been better to keep it a secret, but I just had to tell everyone XD besides even if I didn't eventually someone else would

You can take care of Wuhu Loop glitchers with a single red or blue shell. In fact, since the glitch only saves about 3 seconds (and that's if it's done perfectly, which most glitchers don't have the skill to pull off) hitting the glitcher with basically any item after they use the glitch will allow you to pass them if you can manage to be 1-2 seconds ahead of them at the time they use the glitch. Blue shells and bob-ombs work best, though. I agree with you that the Maka Wuhu glitch is completely unacceptable, though. Even if MK7 doesn't have the update that allows games to be patched, I don't see why Nintendo can't just put a function onto their servers that automatically disconnects anyone who uses the glitch (I suggested this before.) It would be just as effective as patching the game, and the Wuhu Loop glitch could be similarly handled. Would you like the Wuhu tracks if the glitches were fixed?

Wow! Thanks for the tips!
NOOO!!! It's no longer a secret! NOOO!!!
It was never a secret in the first place, since both of us knew it. A secret is something that only one person or organization in the world knows. Since the two of us do not constitute one person or organization, it was not a secret to begin with. (I know you're joking, lol. I just love to bring up technical points on just about everything; I find it funny in my own way )

I should've been a bit more clearer. I do like both Wuhu tracks, I just don't like them ONLINE. EDIT: Also @NeonShell7 Thanks for the tips lol, though I found out about the launch tunnel one myself. But you say you found out through a SpotPass notification? I got no such notification...and I check my notifications on a daily basis... (Thanks Letter Box/Swapnote... )
While playing on Music Park tonight, I noticed that when lightning is used the Piranha Plants get zapped too! It's a little detail that I love! @neonShell7 I noticed that no one else used those techniques. I was starting to wonder if I was the only one that knew.
@cnm_nintendo Did you set up the Mario Kart Channel? Because I believe you only get the notifications if you do so (it enables SpotPass for MK7.) It was in a notification called "Mario Kart 7 Vol. 2", part of a series of MK7 tips from one of the game's developers. @Wildvine53 Yeah that also happens to other destructible course obstacles like the Goombas in Wii Koopa Cape and Wii Mushroom Gorge, the snowmen in DS DK Pass, and the Piranha Plants in Piranha Plant Pipeway. I agree that it's a nice touch, although IIRC it was in MK Wii as well so it's not really new. BTW, today I just completely PWNED a Wuhu Loop glitcher. I got a red shell and held onto it until he/she tried to use the glitch. I followed him/her and red shelled him/her, right before he/she was going to use the glitch, and knocked him/her off the track, causing the glitch to fail. By the time he/she had gotten dropped back on the track and then successfully used the glitch, everyone (including me) had already finished. The really awesome part is, I didn't even have to stop or slow down! All I had to do was throw my red shell and continue racing normally. Whatever that player might have wanted to tell me afterwards, I'm pretty sure it wasn't a compliment

Setting up the Mario Kart Channel was the first thing I did when I got the game. I never even got "Mario Kart 7 Vol. 1". I guess these notifications are US only. (Oooff course..)
...hello everyone, right lets start off with Maka Wuhu... as someone said before "if you can't beat them, join them"
now, i always try to avoid this but, again, then is always someone who spams this map. Your best opinion, is to know how to do the glitch as well... & practice it. this doesn't mean use it all the time, just when someone else does...
-EDIT---
oh and does anyone have a coin farming community that is still active? all the ones i find aren't active and i need to rack up coins... (i only have 1800)
@NeonShell7 Well I guess I need to pay more attention when I'm racing. Good job taking out that glitcher! @Radixxs Really? sounds strange, I've never heard of that before. I wonder if it was a network problem.
