Topic: Mario & Luigi: Dream Team- Help Requested Please [possible spoilers!]

Hey everyone. I'm playing Mario & Luigi: Dream Team right now, and am about 6 hours into the game- I just got my first Bros Attack in Mushrise Park. My question is, when Mario & Luigi are battling in the real world, and an enemy attacks, I notice that sometimes the action buttons A and B will make them jump, and at other times it will make them swing the hammer. Can I choose how to defend? Like, can I switch between defending with the hammer and jumping with my boots? Or does the game automatically determine which defense I use based on the type of attack being used against me? The reason I ask, is I never know how Mario and Luigi will respond- whether by jumping or swinging the hammer, so it's hard to time my defense right. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help answer this question

You can't, you have to go with what the game gives you. It all depends on what attacks the enemies are using.

Yeah it does tell you before the attack starts anyways. (right above them you'll see A and B and a picture of either the Boots or Hammer.)
