That's what I'm thinking- leave the remake to some other developer (Grezzo, as you mentioned) while one of the teams in Nintendo work on a new Zelda 3DS game.
But I seriously want a game like the Oracle of series
...there are a lot of legitimate reasons to do a remake besides cashing in- for one, this game needs a touchscreen more than ocarina of time did with all the masks you swap around, especially in ikana canyon where you need 3 masks and the ocarina at once... that was about as bad as the iron boots in the water temple...

I agree with your agreeing and I also agree on the second thing.
Currently playing: 3DS: KI: Uprising Wii: Xenoblade Chronicles "Heh, heh... Thanks... You're nice. Umm... Can I ask... a question? Your friends... What kind of... people are they? I wonder... Do these people... think of you...as a friend?"
im not really sure they should do a Loz:mm remake for the 3DS because OOT remake was awesome but another game remake that most people have already played it kinda seems like there running out of ideas i want an original zelda 3DS not a remake and if nintendo do make an original zelda 3DS game plz dont make it a toon link game i hated the toon link games they sucked
I'd love to be able to play Majora's Mask on my 3DS. I tried playing it once on Gamecube, but the disc was broken. :/ Also, I'd enjoy the uprgaded graphics, the old graphics can be difficult. Might be a cause of my color deficiency alongside the graphics.
Edit: but a new one first so no one gets pissed off. ^^
if they remade windwaker or another game then maybe you could say they were out of ideas but in my opinion majora's mask and ocarina of time are two parts of the same game. they almost have an obligation to relesae majora's mask to finish what they started with oot.
by the way golden, what was wrong with ocarina being an enhanced port? otherwise the game wouldn't have been faithful to what made it great.
Direct ports are fine but never for 46€. 90% of the port is the work done for the original game, I dont understand the price policy with them. This way direct ports create bad repuration more than anyother thing, the feeling that Nintendo cares exclusively about the raw profit.
I was kind of hoping Grezzo would do the Matrix Games thing - start off remaking good games (Matrix handled Final Fantasy III and IV on the DS), but then branch out into much more interesting original games once they'd proven their abilities (Matrix has since made 4 Heroes of Light on the DS and White Knight Chronicles: Origins on the PSP).
I want an original game from Grezzo that would allow them to really work with 3D - they're clearly skilled with it.
Just e-mailed NOA about my desire for the game. Might not have such a big impact on anything, but at least I can rest easy, since I've made my voice heard.
Just as Swiket said, Nintendo might actually have planned on releasing MM all along, in which case expressing our support for a game that will be made anyway might feel like a waste of time. Still, I don't think investing a bit of our spare time to write a short e-mail or tweet really hurts anyone. At least we can be sure that Nintendo sees that there is support for MM and will be more inclined to actually release it.
here's the response they gave me in case anyone's curious:
"Thanks for writing. It’s great to hear what you would like to see from us in the future, and I’m happy to document your comments and share them with other departments here at Nintendo.
I know that it would be great to tell you that The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3DShas been announced and provide the release date. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been an announcement or even a hint of an announcement—either from us or our licensee partners—so for now we have to assume that it doesn’t yet exist. "
if there is a remake, i want it to actually be a remake this time, not the enhanced port oot3d was.
If that was the case you'd probably complain it wasn't more like the original.
I would complain about it either way. If it was a port like OoT 3D, I would complain that they're charging $40 for a game that I bought for $10 on the Wii Shop Channel. If they did a true remake, I would complain that they should have done the same for Ocarina of Time.
IMO, it's still too early to remake any of the 3D games.
All the children try to run, To him its part of the fun. His branching arms are for collecting, His face is empty of expressing. He sometimes hums a lowly drone, He will wander 'round your home. Dressed in darkest suit and tie, He won't let you say goodbye.
if they do make it it'd be great to have the hologram art on the cartridge again, it'd make more sense for a 3D game than it did for the original release. then again, ocarina of time didn't get a gold cartridge so that probably wouldn't happen....
That fan ART almost looks REAL! In fact Nintendo would be darned if they didn't use it because in my opinion that looks good enough for me to buy it.
I'm sure all of us want a Legend of Zelda movie or television drama. IGN.com teased us with their epic Zelda movie trailer which was nothing more than a April Fools Joke.
Even the producers at Nintendo dream of creating a Legend of Zelda movie it seems according to the news article at the following link.
