How different/challenging is the hidden mansion? I only know about the NA version of the original, only thing I saw in the 3DS version via trailers was that bosses got revamped attacks. Anyways I wasn't going to bother with this game, but hearing about the second playthrough is making me thinking about it. Plus I have enough points at Gamestop to get a $15 off thing...so...there's that. lol

The controls for this game seem bad tbh, largely because they made it required to use gyroscopic aiming. Like it genuinely feels frustrating and tedious to play it. This is surprising considering that Dark Moon worked fine, but repositioning the light and poltergust is aggravating since the slightest movement moves its positioning and makes things so complicated. It means that I'm constantly overshooting and undershooting, and the game feels incredibly finicky at times. It doesn't really feel as consistent as the previous Luigi's Mansion game I played.

Where? I've been in that menu looking for options like 10 times. I have terrible eyesight, but I don't see it anywhere.

Lol, the motion/gyro sensitivity option, setting it to zero disables it.

I had to for some games, having shakey hands due to anti-seizure meds, (no I don't have the kind set off by lights), but it's a pain trying to play certain games when your targeting and the world is acting like there's a 9.9 earthquake, so yah, I killed mine early when I got my Switch & New 3DS

@-Green- The options menu description specifically says that you can turn motion controls off by selecting value 0.

I honestly looked through it like 10 times. My mind simply made the connection that since there was no motion control switch option, then there was no way to take it off. Simple mistake.

...Was Boolossus changed at all in this version? He was always a living nightmare for me way back then, this time he wasn't as difficult. (still gonna take some time for the gold frame, but whatever, lol)

Maybe I was just young and stupid back then during the GCN days. lol

Anyone know which is best for the controls on this?
I've seen you can use the pro stick and a new 3ds but is the new 3ds nub any good?
New 3ds would be neater but the nub looks so small!

@mrjelly The nub of the New 3DS consoles is very good. This is going to sound weird but it is nicer to use than the left stick (slide button) after a long session because the left stick (slide button) works like a stick but without the required height to be comfortable after a while. With your right thumb you don't move the nub nor your finger, you just slightly roll your fingertip. It's sensitive, precise and comfortable and improves gameplay and controls on the New 3DS systems. I hope this helps!

@Joeynator3000 actually, you aren't the only one that had a hard time with that boss. I more than once had issues when there was one boo left to freeze. I hope that they have solved the problem where they got so far that I couldn't freeze them.

@BlueOcean
That is very helpful thanks! But may end up costing me money hahaha. The new 3ds has some benefits like quicker, nicer slot in the new 2ds for carts and now better for Luigi's mansion

Thanks!
