Last chance to get Kid Icarus 3D Classics!!!! - Nintendo 3DS Forum

For anyone who isn't aware, If you pre-order/reserve Kid Icarus Uprising at GameStop by 3/22 (That's Thursday, and it's TOMORROW) then you are supposed to get a download code for Kid Icarus 3D Classics on your receipt when you pick up the game on 3/23 (this Friday). As there is no official date for Kid Icarus 3D Classics on the eShop and as they are REEEEEEALLY slow about adding stuff on there, this is your best shot in the US for getting KI3DC any time soon, (possibly at all — I'm looking at you Ambassador Games!!) ;p Really, it would have been a brilliant idea for them to release this AHEAD of Uprising either as a promo or as an eShop download, in order to get people juiced up for it's release, but that's Nintendo for ya. It would be great if there were any real pre-order swag for KIU, but a free 3DSVC game is a pretty sweet deal too. Well, there's the stand thing that comes with Uprising, but as far as I know that's basically standard, so it doesn't really count as swag, and if you are using the Circle Pad Pro, then I don't see how you can use the stand anyway. And seriously, YOU WANT THE CIRCLE PAD PRO, it is AWESOME (I cannot stress this enough) on the games that support it so far. It's a horrid shame that the availability of the thing is less than zero across the board, I had to make a road trip to god-knows-where to actually get one, but it was soooo worth it. Supposedly GS won't be stocking more until some time in May, the date just keeps getting pushed back like a month later every time I visit a GameStop store.

had the original and its hard but i hope the game comes on the eshop because it would be stupid if they didnt,many people willing to buy it so they are not gonna make a profit by not releasing it,but if not well hopefully the game comes on club nintendo sooner or later

Just got my code this morning, and I gotta say I love the new backgrounds they gave it. Helps liven things up a bit in my opinion. I was never any good at it, but I'll give it a fair go now.

Exactly, WaveBoy! The original Kid Icarus is awesome, and for us oldies it really was a defining game (along with Metroid) when we were little kids Oh, btw, Kid Icarus: Uprising is a totally different game (with alot of manga thrown in) but it still stands up as a great game all by itself. I love how they show what the original boss/enemy looked like in the original Kid Icarus when you confront them in this new game. Brilliant!

Man, I love this updated version so much. <3 They did a great job, the new backgrounds, the 3D effect, and the Custom Controls are all fantastic. This version is a lot easier I think, it's been a while since I've played the original yet I beat the first level on my second try.
