Topic: How many " older " folks play with the 3DS?

I turn 38 tomorrow. I also had an Atari, and then an NES growing up. During high school and college, I mostly stopped playing video games. After college I did a little PC gaming (and some emulators). Then, when my wife saw me wowing the 3D screen, she got me a 3DS for my 36th birthday. Afterwards we got ourselves a (pre-owned) Wii, and I've been buying GameCube games and using the virtual console to catch up on games that I had missed 10-20 years ago (in addition to Wii games). It's good to be back!

I'm 33, my wife is 31 and we both own a 3DS XL. We also just got the cradles from Club Nintendo. We play Animal Crossing New Leaf every day. I play Pokemon X. She just finished Ocarina of Time. A Link Between Worlds is in the mail. Still have to finish Luigi's Mansion and Fire Emblem Awakening. We also own a Wii U and play that frequently with our 6 year old daughter who loves all things Nintendo. I'm relieved to see so many other 30-somethings and older still playing! Game on my friends! I wish I knew you in real life!

I'm 18, but I have plenty of friends in their 20's that have 3DS systems. I am yet to see anyone young than 15 with a 3DS.
A lot of my friends are in college/university and they sit and play Pokemon all day My one friend said almost everyone on his floor in residence has a 3DS. My dad's 50 and he likes playing New Super Mario Bros. 2 on my 3DS. My older sister is 23, she recently bought a 2DS so she can play New Leaf.

My grandpa is 80 and he is fascinated with it and every time I visit he wants to watch me play something.

Wow! So many 20's and up in this thread. Who would've thought. I took a 10 year break from gaming from ages 17 to 27 (2001 to to 2011) so i missed quite a bit, but I'm catching up now! Bought my wii u first, then ps4, and now 3ds. Already beat ALBW and just got started on FE:A, as well as revisiting OOT3d. Loving my 3ds so far. Lost touch with my gamer friends years ago, wish i knew the people in this thread in real life! Greetings from Boston, MA

I'm 36. I've been gaming since 1982. Nintendo's been part of my life for a long time.
The 3DS is my first handheld since the gameboy colour.

21 here with no plans to stop.

35, got my 3DS XL last week.

I'm 31 an am enjoying my 3DS XL along with many of the games that are out for 3DS.

I am 27, wife is 28 and we play the hell out of our 3DS. My four year old has one also and plays it quite a bit.

I turn 36 in two weeks - holy crap! And I still play the heck out of my original black 3DS.

33 here and I play my 3DS quite often. In fact, it's my only modern day console and the system I play the most as of the past several months, even more so than all of my retro consoles. It's won my heart.

sadly i can not think of many people older than 30 who play videogames. especially not nintendo systems

I'm 44.... Last system I bought was a Gameboy Advance circa 2002. Just got a Wii U in April and then got a 3ds in late August. Love both systems.

My mother is in her 60s and plays her 3DS constantly.

My sister plays often and is in her late 40s.

Her husband plays occasionally and is in his late 30s.

I'm 25 and play it quite a bit.

I am 31 - I have a 3DS XL - My brother has just got one (Think he is 25 has a PS3 as well).

Dunno whether it has been what I hoped it would be though. (Funny thing the Ambassador GBA games look like exactly the type of stuff I would like).

I stopped buying games during the Gamecube era. Stopped playing them probably even earlier.

I'm 19, and the only person I know personally that has a 3ds is my little brother and only because I bought him it. He loves it, and now I'm trying to get my friends and other family members (older and younger) who used to have the original ds to convert
We used to have mariokart ds competitions and play mario party ds together way back around 2007-2008. Good times

I am 32 and will be picking up the 3DS + ALBW bundle tomorrow. Been gaming ever since I got my NES in 89 or something. I then had various Amiga computers but my NES wasn't retired until 98. I've had Game Boys (pocket, color, advance), Playstation 1-2, Nintendo DS, Gamecube, Wii and for the last 7 months a Wii U. Love it and the wnderful games. I always buy Nintendo systems for their awesome gameplay. I've been pondering the 3DS for a long time and now my body is ready.

I also game on my computer; mostly Minecraft and Left 4 Dead. Notying beats the pure joy and gameplay of Metroid, Zelda, Mario etc.

My girlfriend is 27 and she plays Mario Kart and Super Mario 3D World with me. I might get her a 3DS and ... Animal Crossing perhaps?

Nintendo 4 life.

I'm 35 and can't be seen anywhere without my 3DS in my pocket.
