I think that now Pokemon has become too complicated. Here are my reasons why: -Berries are (imo) not nessecary -Go back to having different types as different types of moves (fire/water/grass=special, normal/fighting/flying=physical etc.) -Too many types of Pokeball -Too many items that do the same thing (for example full heal/lava cookie/rage candy bar all do the same thing) -Don't like contests (don't see the point or appeal)

That's why the game is so great. At a base level its simple as hell, but when you dig deep its one of the most complicated amazing stat dependent games out there.

Sorry if I put the wrong message across. I do not hate Pokemon. In fact Pokemon is one of my favourite game franchises. I just miss the simplicity of Pokemon Red and Blue versions. The new games are good too. But I just think some of the features really are not nessarcery. I think that the newer ones are less easy for newcomers to the series to understand. Another thing that I do not really like too much is that you now have about 8 different pockets for items. I think that the 3 bag pockets they had in Pokemon Firered/Leafgreen were enough. So yeah, sorry if it seems like I am complaining too much, but hey, it's just my opinion.

I agree with you. I was just saying how on a very Base level the game could be played the same as the original games. Unless you want to get into the hardcore Ev training with certain teams and movesets than its a pretty simple game.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Yeah, it's not getting stale for me. I love me a good Pokemon game. You know what would rock though? A Pokemon Fighting game. With RPG elements found in the games. You know you want it.
Only for Wii U though. 3DS can deliver great fighters (SSFIV and DoA), but they're better off on a 50" screen. It's more for the console experience, not the handheld experience.
You know what would really be awesome, though? A Wii U-MMO. Yeah, people here already mentioned it, but seriously,I would love to have a huge open world with Pokemon everywhere, and all that jazz. But I want the battles to move in realtime, as turn-based random encounters in an MMO is awkward for me.
Yeah, I was thinking for it working best on a cosole as well. Plus, the Wii-U could work really well, with its touch screen controller and all. One could have two teams of three, switch freely, use items, etc. It'd be pretty innovative. Of course, designing that many fighters in a game would require way too much time to develop. Still, it'd be cool.
Best thread ever

How does that make it more complicated? Specific berries heal specific status conditions or regain health. (they're not even commonly used in battle.) Just use ultra and normal pokeball Too many items that do the same thing just gives you a better chance of having the item you need when you need it. Contests aren't necessary and no one even does them.
I think that HMs should be optional for use. For example, you will not need to use HMs to complete the main stroy but if you do use them, you will have access to certain areas that have rare items. Or, if HMs are going to stay as required items for the main story, at least leave out the bad ones (Cut/Rock smash) and ones that no one wants (Strength/Rock climb) and leave the good ones in (Surf/Waterfall/Fly). Anyway, as a brand new idea for team building, they should have some sort of in-game help guide like this: http://pokemon.marriland.com/black_white/team_builder
I just want to be able to capture ALL of the 600+ pokemon in ONE game. Make it happen Game Freak.

We shouldnt have to go through trading with others to complete our pokedex.
Um, you know this has been one of the core principals of Pokémon since the very beginning of the series over 15 years ago? Trading and battling friends (and online now) is one of the fundamental elements of the game. Requiring trades to complete your dex is never going away.

But its annoying having to always trade with someone but it cant be knocked to much as it raises the value of completing the pokedex.

Making the game a little harder in story mode might help. I like how they made the gym trainers stronger after they give you their phone number, and the elite 4. But the only challenge I've seen in Pokemon was Steven in Fire Red, and Cynthia in White.
Here's a good one. Do a prequel game made in the Middle Ages, and instead of going to gyms, fight in castles! And instead of the regular Team Rocket BS in every game, go to War. The Kings in every region having their own Legendary Pokemon in their team, a balanced team not just one type. And invent a Ultimate no weakness Pokemon, that's uncatchable as the final boss. I emphasize on uncatchable, not even a Masterball. After you defeat it you'll recieve an egg with the Ultimate Pokemon in it's baby or rookie form, make it as weak as Magikarp, and it evolves into the Ultimate Pokemon at level 70.
Then have the Ultimate boss with a team of 6 level 100 Pokemon in his team. And you'll have yourself a 10/10 game bringing back the seriousness that Pokemon had back in first Generation.

They need to make it harder so it takes 100 hours to beat the main story then give us more to do after.
