On ch. 21 of Birthright now. I haven't pimped nearly enough of my units out. I need to really focus on the matchmaking aspect in my eventual Lunatic playthrough.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
@Ralizah: Well, just keep in mind that the children don't get past their base class, while the enemies can get to the promoted class and at level 20, so keep that in mind, as in some paralogues, the children can die in one hit from the enemy, so you need to use a rescue staff.
Finished Ch. 19, currently working on the child paralogues. I'll probably end up using three for sure(Kana, Shigure, and Percy). They have an Offspring Seal, which makes leveling a lot easier. I haven't found their paralogues to be too hard(except for Forrest).
@RR529: Yes, they scale to their parent's current level. Not aure which parent though. If the parent is at a high level in an advanced class, the child will appear as a level 20 base class, but be holding an Offspring Seal, which when used will promote them to an advanced class and instantly level them up to their parent's level.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
@Detective_TeeJay
It might be based on the male parent, because they're the one having kids.
Also, just a nitpick, child seals appear after Ch. 19, not when the parent hits a certain level.
@Eat_Pie: Oh, I didn't know that. In my Birthright and Conquest playthroughs I only made a few kids very early on, so everyone was still in their base class, and in Revelations I didn't start making kids til I was finished with the main story.
So cause of that I figured the seals were based on being in advanced classes. My bad
Playing Birthright on Hard/Classic has had its frustrating moments, but I really do love permadeath mode, as I feel learning what my mistakes on a map were is making me a better strategist.
Based on what I've heard, I think I'll play Conquest on Hard/Classic in a location where there are no easily breakable items.
So I'm on like Chapter 16 or 17 in Birthright. The first 6 chapters were rushed, and it definitely took a little while for the story to pick up, but once it did I really started to get into the game. The map design is absolutely brilliant, that's for sure.
Has anyone played the Gold DLC map yet? That's got to be The most awesome map I've ever seen in a strategy game. The 3D depth really makes it pop, and I think it's the fact that the elevation is so expansive.

@JaxonH I find the game really fun, the changes like the new weapon triangle and attack/guard stance makes you plan out more strategies than Awakening did. I could probably go on for paragraphs talking about how much I like the game lol, I know I'll be playing this game for a long time and I haven't really put my attention to the multiplayer yet so there's that to look forward to once I finish my first playthrough of Revelations.
One of my units had low health, but I sent them into battle to finish off an enemy for exp and they missed with 94% hit!
Thankfully dual guard was active so they were saved and I had someone else take the enemy out instead.
Also it looks like I'm going to have to miss out on one of the children characters since there aren't enough female units to marry. Does my unit have to marry someone who can't normally marry anyone else to get all children characters in Conquest?

If you want to have all the child characters in Conquest with the Male avatar, you'll have to marry Flora since there's 11 children you can get in that path (13 when you include your child and Azura's child). There's only 11 female units in that path who can marry the 11 male(not including Corrin) units who can have children, so that's something to keep in mind if you're worried about missing a child unit.
@yokokazuo
Yep, like Iggly covered. This is true for all three paths. However, the second gen and corrin only support characters make pretty good mothers.
I'm working on Shenron (Avatar) & Kagero. Already have Subaki married to Hana, and Hayato is married to Orochi.
Any ideas on how to beat the paralogue with Rhajat? reinforcements arrive so fast, that as soon as I open up a path to her, enemies flood back in and I'm back at square one (enemies are being replaced at a pace faster than I can kill them).
