I'm not sure if this was mentioned, but I'll just post about anyway. Ahem

The people who made the fan translation of the japanese version of Fire Emblem Fates is currently making a uncensored patch for the U.S version of Fates. This patch will restore Fates just like was originally was in the JP version. This patch will do:

-Removes all those terrible memes and references that Nintendo Treehouse put in the game. They will be replaced with the text from the JP version, but in English.

-Certain supports will be having the text from the JP version, but in English. (Example, Saizo and Berkua C support)

-The petting/skinship feature will be available for use.

-Characters names will revert back to their Japanese names, but in English.

-Bikini accessories will be available for use.

I honestly can't wait for them to finish this patch. I always wanted to see how the petting feature works.

Yeah, I took some flying units in, and was finally able to get to Rhajat.

Tough mission.

So I just noted that the silver weapons debuff stack until now.

Why I am noting this until now? I played birthright and didn't noted it.

My main problem is that the stat drops even when counter attacking. Might as well just stick with steel weapons in maps that have many enemies.

Currently enjoying the -16 strength and skill :v

You know, I have yet to come across in a meme in this game and I've pkayed all 3 paths. What memes are there that people are kicking up such a fuss about?

@yokokazuo: Just so you know, the reason why 90%+ missed is because the older Fire Emblems had 2 RNG' for the players fair sake. This gen has only 1.

Wow just reading all the discussion made me realise there's loads in this ane I didn't know! I can't wait for this to come out in the UK!

On top of that, the English translation is actually really good. I remember reading some of the supports before when they were fan-translated, and most of them are in tact.

Anna's Gift 2: Receive Paragon scroll and boots. Paragon gives you a skill that doubles EXP earned

Recollection of Bubbles (6 maps): Play as the children in an alternate dimension where the parents are dead and the homes are destroyed. Reward is Point Blank scroll and others.

Hoshidian Festival of Bonds: Play in an alternate Hoshido and see conversations between all characters, including those that don't support each other. Reward is Exalt's Brand.

Nohr Festival of Bonds: Same as Hoshidian. Reward is Hero's Brand.

Does anyone else hope Nintendo will localize the Fire Emblem Cipher card game? I think it's worth a shot, even if they just released the Fates set as a Gamestop exclusive or something. I really want those cards! It could be like Nintendo's more mature card game next to Pokemon.

Speaking of products, I have no idea why they haven't released the Robin and Lucina amiibo again, especially with Fates out!

@NinjaWaddleDee: Might be worth you importing them from somewhere, here in the UK we've got tons of them!

@DoctorOverbuild: Yeah I know, but I just don't want to pay over 13-14 dollars/yen/euro for them. They're just not worth that much to me as little plastic things. Do I think they're cool? Yeah! Do I think they look nice? You bet! But not nice enough to pay more than their standard price. Sadly I wasn't into Fire Emblem when Lucina was first announced as an amiibo, so I would have preordered her when I had the chance. Hopefully I'll be able to preorder Corrin at least.

@Gridatttack: Speaking of Azura, anyone know how to get her to sing? Is it like Olivia in awakening? Because I have no idea what to do. I haven't used her because she can't do anything! Is it a glitch in Conquest or something?

@NinjaWaddleDee: You just walk up to a fellow unit and the Sing option shows up in the menu just like Attack would.

@Detective_TeeJay: Also the unit must have already moved (I assume) as the whole point in Sing is to give a unit a second turn.

Holy crow, the last 5 or so chapters of Conquest were hard, even on normal difficulty. Hardest localized FE by a decent margin. I'm scared to try it on harder difficulties. The Great Wall and duel chapters were brutal enough as it is.

Finished it though. Story for Conquest gets better towards the end and I actually think its ending is more satisfying than Birthright, even if Azura's fate is left unclear in that version.

Gonna spend the week leading up to Revelation going over skills and stuff and planning out my battle parties and supports.

Taken as a whole package, or at least Birthright and Conquest, this is definitely a top tier FE game. Gameplay improvements and adjustments are fantastic, providing probably the most deep, strategic, and rewarding combat mechanics in any FE game released in the west. Story, overall, is decent (and I'm assuming the few loose ends from both paths are cleared up in Revelation).

It might be my favorite FE that I've played (all localized + Blazing Sword and Genealogy). Will have to see if my opinion holds up over time.

@Grumblevolcano: I kinda figured that didn't need be said cause, like, why else would you Sing at all right?

Conquest so far is defiantly a step up in difficulty than Awakening and it's awesome. I'm looking forward to playing the Hoshido path after and finally revelation. Your mention of Genealogy of the Holy makes me wish Nintendo would localize it or one day remake it. The darkest FE game in the series.
