WTF fire emblem

When I was a male avatar, I got chased out by women in the hot spring.
Now that I'm a female avatar, I get chased out by men.

@Betelgroose: Yeah. Almost made me want to go beat him down personally so he wouldn't lower the ocean's level.

@TingLz: lol, I wonder who. I thought that the female avatar would be the one to run away.

Keaton is annoying. Two times now, I've had to restart because he was able to get a critical hit on Ryoma, even though he supposedly only has a 4% chance of activating it.

@Ralizah: lol

Something happened to me too. Opponent had a 48% chance of hitting me and a 1% percent of critical.

Guess what happened? It got both the hit and the critical hit.

Srsly.

Also wow, the cpu does like to abuse the adjacent attack supports. I wonder if they come up with even more sick ways to make your playthrough more difficult.

Is it possible to get an amiibo character back if they die? I didn't realize that an enemy would attack twice with a different weapon so Ike was taken out, but I was on the final enemy so I just went and finished the chapter (saved on a different file though).

When I scanned Ike again it said that he went to work in the castle.

I finished up Birthright and about halfway through Conquest now. The writing in Conquest seems to be significantly worse. Birthright's story was pretty straightforward, but it worked. The central character deaths towards the end seemed a little contrived and telephoned, but it's a decently interesting tale.

Conquest on the other hand is just a long string of OBVIOUSLY EVIL dad plotting obviously to kill you, and you just go along with it because reasons. I hope dad notices me! It's bad. But the chapters themselves are more challenging and offer quite a bit of variety, so I'm pleased there.

Hopefully finish up Conquest with a few days to spare to play Twilight Princess before Revelations is available.

Yeah I'm getting owned by RNG far more than I remember in previous games. I seem to miss a lot at around 80% accuracy and get crit regularly when the enemy has under 20% crit accuracy.

You can summon him from your Unit Logbook. Press Start in your castle or talk to Felicia/your assistant. Costs around 10,000 gold, give or take.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

@CaviarMeths: Your motivations for doing 'evil' get a lot better towards the end. (Ch 19 or 20-ish?) It's easy to dismiss the story or be frustrated with it when you don't know where it's going yet.

Yay! My copy of Birthright arrived today!

I've only played through chapter 1 so far, though. Named my avater Shenron, because of the whole dragon thing.

Conquest ch 18. Dang, I'm getting wrecked by the generals. Camilla keeps getting killed by them. I guess I'll keep resetting until one of them misses at 58% hit. I haven't used her as much as I'd like, and it's kind of showing. I've seen other people have around level 10 Camillas at this point, but mine is only around level 5. Xander and Effie have been my MVPs so far.

Almost a week until Revelations. Ghostly Gold DLC comes out tomorrow. I was going to marry Azura in Revelations, but I just realized that it's incest because Corrin and Azura are cousins. Oh, well. There are going to be lots of other girls I can choose from.

Just on chapter 10 of Birthright, between XCX and my uni classes beginning this week, I haven't had much time to play. Birthright hasn't been difficult, though (at least on normal/classic). Hopefully Conquest is a bit more challenging.

On other note: my local store still has copies of the special edition! Granted, it is more expensive here than the US (its around USD 102), but... still. I thought it would sell out faster.

I have a chronic lack of time, for everything.

Now playing: Okami HD, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Conquest is more difficult. If you really want a challenge, try Hard or Lunatic classic. If it's too hard, you can always drop down a level.

A few chapters can get kind of challenging on a hard/classic set-up, which is what I'm playing Birthright on, and hopefully what I'll play the entirety of Conquest on.

Unless I'm missing some plot twist, they aren't related. Azura is a Nohrian princess by blood. Corrin is a Hoshidan prince by blood. They also aren't adopted siblings like Corrin would be to the Nohrian royal family. They're just two royals from different countries. You're in the clear!

I have married Camilla in Conquest for strategic reasons though. My Avatar's secondary class is Diviner, so his wife can get the skill Rend Heaven (Lv5 Basara skill). Definitely a great skill for someone like Camilla who gets high growths in both Str and Mag.

Anyway, the romantic support is kinda... hmm. Well, your mileage may vary, but it basically boils down to "this feels wrong, we were raised as siblings" "nah, it's fine, we're not blood related and everyone knows it." I'm fine with it, but yeah, marry someone else if that sort of thing gives you the heebie jeebies.

(groans of increasing discomfort)

Hopefully the release date isn't too far away, only ~13.5 hours to go until we find out!

Holy s***, I suck.

I'm playing Birthright on the easiest setting, and I somehow managed to get one of my characters killed on the first danged real chapter (ch. 7). Of course, I'm going to redo it tomorrow for a different result, but that just absolutely sucks.

Revelations reveals a lot of stuff. If you want to read, then click on the spoiler below this one

Azura is actually not a Nohr princess. She's from the third kingdom as is the avatar. Their mothers are sisters who fled this kingdom. Matter of fact, Azura and the avatar are not even related to either set of siblings

Except Rend Heaven uses the enemy's Mag or Str. You're probably thinking of Ignis, which adds half of your Mag or Str to the attack. Ignis is unique to Robin and the Grandmaster class, which will be available later as DLC.
