Hello,
I just received my new 3ds animal crossing bundle and as I was moving the joystick around I couldn't help but notice a small ding on the edge of the plastic under the circle pad I haven't been using it for very long and I don't know how it could have gotten there... I am wondering if some debris got under there somehow and while I was moving it around I chipped it. The circle pad did feel a bit chalky moving around at first but after a while of breaking it in it smoothed out. Is that normal? If anyone else has anything similar please let me know (especially if you have OCD because I have it BAD).
Okay, I think you may be overreacting slightly here. As for the chalky feeling that's just what the circle pad feels like out of the box.
Because everyone knows I don't like the circle pad, it's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere. Not like the D-Pad. The D-Pad is soft... and smooth.

I see what you did there. Well done, my very young padawan.
I have the exact same model as you, and I just checked and found a similar chip, although it is closer to the 1:00 mark. I'm not sure if I did that, or if it came like that. Either way, it doesn't seem to be affecting performance.
You are still under warranty though, so if you're going to do something about it, might as well do it now. I'm not going to do anything about mine, for what it's worth.
Ah, the old OCD. I used to have it bad. So bad I used to have screen protectors on the screens and freaked out at a smudge. Thankfully I've been OCD free for 5 years now. Don't listen to your OCD it creates a crater from a tiny hole.
