I did the same, transferred the following games one after another, not simultaneously:

  • Bought plants n zombies on 3ds in the morning (so yea the store worked then)
  • bought Airport Mania on dsi
  • transferred Boxlife, Picopict, Sujin Taisen, Tales in a Box, Airport Mania, Chronos Twins.

After that, error screen on both shop and transfer screen.
Hope Nintendo mails you back a solution. Be sure to let us know

I called Nintendo again, and again they seem to be claiming that it's a traffic problem, or a problem with my router. And yet:

1) Other people get on the eShop fine, and I was trying at various points all through the weekend. Not to mention my DSi and Wii were able to connect to the shops at that point in time.
2) None of my other devices have had any trouble with my router. In my household we have 2 laptops from different vendors, three PSPGos, an iPad, an iPhone, a PlayStation 3, a Nintendo Wii and a Nintendo DSi.

So no, Nintendo, it's not the router, and unless I'm extremely unlucky, it's not the volume of traffic on your servers. My 3DS is bleeped up, and I don't appreciate that it's taking me so long for you guys to say "hey, send it in and we'll fix it."

Hell, even Sony's technical support is doing better than you guys right now. And they're infamous for being woeful.

Just remember that Nintendo was claiming you needed to send in your 3DS system for the black screen error and yet I held onto mine and after the recent eShop update, I haven't had a single black screen error even with Wi-Fi on. So who knows on this one. Hasn't been a smooth start for 3DS, that's for sure.

Plain old gamer :)

I know, and if it was something like that, I wouldn't care.

For obvious reasons I actually need access to the eShop, so Nintendo is annoying me right now. This is what you get when you hurry a console to market. Bugs.

Everything has bugs nowadays. Especially new consoles.

I sometimes wonder if having the ability to constantly upgrade a game system is a good thing or bad thing. On one hand it is nice that companies can upgrade to fix bugs and problems, but it also makes them far less careful when it comes to putting things together to begin with.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of day 1 or 2 patches with games, and I'm even less of a fan of patching consoles. I want the friggen thing to work, not tell me an update is required.

Isnt it kinda lame that they dont even know what their own bloody error codes stand for? Pffffff...

Nintendo is right, it was probably a traffic problem. The 3DS is very new and there are probably a lot of people trying to download and or transfer files. So the server or servers are most likely bombarded with requests and activity. Other people aren't having problems, probably due to how many requests were flooding the e-shop server or servers at that time. Simular to how a website crashes from over activity and becomes inaccessible to other users. I hope I could be of some help.

I find that a little hard to believe, because for three days now I've been trying to log in - at both peak and off peak times. No luck.

Nintendo sent me a 26 point how to list to manually set the 3DS' IP address, and then set up the router to make sure it's accepting it. If that works, I'll post it up for everyone else,

@Waltz: I don't have this error and I know that simply stating such doesn't help you with your issue.

...so,

What kind of wireless router do you use? Also, what kind of encryption do you use (WEP, WPA, etc)? Have you tried connecting to the internet with your 3DS without using any wireless encryption, you know, just to test it?

What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.

This is correct, you need your SSID and Wireless Network Key #'s, that should be located somewhere on your wireless router. To set up your internet configurations. I hope I could be of some help.

Ok, I just got off the phone with the Nintendo Technical Staff, according to them thr code appears due to the servers being extremely crowded and the people that are actually getting in are just luckyand they got multiple people working on the problem., and I should call them back if its not working by wednesday. Can't say I 100% believe them but I can wait 2 more days Will let you guys know the result.

Nintendo must be servicing the entire Europe and Australia with one server, then

I had some internet problems, too, at random times. The same error code whenever I wanted to connect to the internet, when I use to be fuly connected before. I switched my router on and off, and afterwards it seemed to work just fine.

Love my 3DS, Fighting games and Zombies. Enuff' said.

The whole 'servers are busy' stuff is complete nonsense.

It might have initially been that, but now its like it doesn't even try to connect properly before bringing that error up. Its like its stuck in this loop and can't get out of it.

If that is the case, its going to require a system update for Nintendo to fix it, god knows why they won't just admit that and that they are working on it I don't know.

Weird. I haven't had one single problem with the eShop since launch day when it was a bit difficult to get in probably due to the fact that it had just launched. And I log into the eShop quite a lot...I hope Nintendo gets whatever problem y'all are having sorted out.

Exactly. There's something wrong with some people's 3DS' and their ability to connect to the eShop. It's not a problem our end - every other online function on the 3DS works just fine.

I'm getting really annoyed that Nintendo keeps trying to send me stupid tutorials rather than give me the mailing address to send the 3DS to get fixed.
