The screen size is a bit annoying. So far I'm not enjoying this game as much as I thought I would. I just feel like I can't understand what the objective is to get a high score, which feels kind of pointless when you're trying to get a high score through trial and error. So far I just don't find it fun or addictive or anything.
How far are you in the game so far? As you go along, you unlock more stuff, including the ability to boost.
As for how you get points, I thought it was pretty simple. You go over the white line, defeat enemies, make little boxes, and do so in a timely manner. You can also double your score with a wildcard.
Not very far. I got bored after an hour.
The trouble is the points that you get for covering all the lines seem to vary when I replay a level and go a different route, and I have no idea why. Is there supposed to be some strategy to try to fill in individual squares as fast as possible or to delay completing them till the end, or is it just a matter of getting the fastest time? Despite getting points for defeating enemies, I end up with lower total scores when I do, so apparently it's actually bad to defeat them for some reason.
It's similar to that, but it gets more and more interesting as you go on. There's high-score tables, boost and bomb power-ups, traps, the whole thing can get pretty hectic and I'm only 3 worlds in.

If you blow up an enemy with a detonator, you detonate every square you've captured. The more square's detonated at the same time, the higher your score will be because the combo adds up. This means you get the highest possible score by not detonating until you capture every cell, then everything explodes at once in beautiful glory.

I kinda don't like how you pretty much NEED a wildcard to get a Platinum on every level. In the Original, WiiWare version, you could get a Platinum by just getting a fast time and not detonating at all, since Wildcards weren't a part of the game. That being said, I'm sure I Platinum'd at least half of the levels in that game.
So after 11:38 (With around 30 minutes being bonus worlds since I decided to wait till I finished the story) I have completed the campaign.
Final thoughts:
-I'm going to rank this as my 2nd favorite eShop game at the moment, below Nano Assault EX. Still, finally managed to kick MSF and AoB: Touch off of the 1st place spot since I got this before NA EX.
-I said things got hectic 3 worlds in, so holy crap Chapter 3 gets nuts. I'm surprised I didn't feel too much a sense of repetition like I did with Pushmo. nor did I feel things got too grindy like Mutant Mudds or Denpa Men (Not a huge case in the latter).
-I thought extremely little of the story at the beginning, but halfway through it got a bit better (still not a focus). However, the ending level didn't satisfy for me. I could've used a boss, or at the very least a very hard level. I'm glad closure was there though.
-There is a lot to do even after beating the lengthy campaign. Those of you who have some obscene expectations (ie; A dollar an hour) this is DEFINITELY the eShop game for you.

Are you gunna try and go for all 150 platinum medals, I've managed 120 so far. The scoring system seems abit messed up in some earlier levels, cos no matter how fast you go I can never seem to get the platinmun even with wildcard switched on.
Got ver 25.0 now with 24 platinum's left to get. All I got was a better boostenate that uses less bombs and boost. Not sure if I can be bothered really.

Any tips on some levels? Levels like half of them in World 1 are killing me as I can't seem to get better then gold.

Use normal boost (B button) and don't use super boost. The slower you go across the lines the more points you get. And don't use bombs use boostenate instead to get a bigger combo chain.
Only need 14 platinum's now, just waiting for the wild cards to roll in as for now.
Oh and to anyone with escapevektor here's my friend code, say if you have added me please.

Is the Nintendo Network working on your 3DS? I bought this game last Thursday and since then it has been having problems connecting to Nintendo Network and therefore I cannot upload my scores or see an updated leaderboard.
