I have no idea why that would be... I play DSiWare games on my 3DS all the time and they save no problem, just like they would on the DSi. Which games have you been having problems with?
Yeah, no idea why that would be. If you go into 'Data Management', does save data for the games show up in the list? Anyone else know what the problem may be?

are you moving your DSiWare games on and off of the SD card? when you move a DSiWare game to the SD card, all save data is lost.
(note: this is true for the 3DS only — on the DSi, only a select few games lose save data when moved to the SD card)
I did not know this myself because I've never tried it, but my 3DS's memory is getting pretty full so that will be useful to keep in mind for when it fills up completely. Thanks!

Huh so saves don't get copied to the SD card? That's a bit of a let down. Although I doubt I pretty forget about the games after I put them on my SD Card.

No, most DSiWare games DO save save files to the SD card; you just have to copy your system memory's copy of the game to the SD card in order to save your save files.
