Has anyone else had trouble playing games like Zelda Spirit Tracks on 3DS where you have to use the microphone? I remember trying to solve a puzzle on Professor Layton & Pandora's Box where you needed to blow away something and I was on the train with my stop coming up so I was blowing at it frantically to get it done.
Those aren't problems specific to the 3DS. Spirit Tracks constantly annoyed me on my DSi as the Spirit Flute is such a pain to use. Movement (such as being on a train) only makes it more impossible to use. You could argue that the Circle Pad makes Super Mario 64 DS harder to play, because it only registers 8 directions, so you might not go the direction you push. However, it's a lot easier on the thumbs!
Only two DS games that I have that really make use of the mic in any important way were Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and Plants Vs. Zombies... and I've experienced no problems with either.
