Hi,

I never played CNS before, but saw it at my local Walmart today for $23. I may go back and get it. I know I know...I can get a preowned copy at GameStop for much cheaper. I’m OCD, and only buy new cause I take care of my games like gold. 👌

Anyway I have some questions for the people that have played it:

I googled, some people say it’s the hardest 3DS game they ever played. True or False? And is there a difficulty settings option?

I love Mario + Rabbids Kingdom, but never played any other turn-based game and also heard MRK is an “easier” turn-based game. True or False?

Lastly, is CNS really good in your humble opinions?

Thank you!

There is a demo available in the eShop if you would like to gauge the style and difficulty of the game.

$23 also sounds a bit expensive. The game is now out-of-print and is becoming rarer to find, but Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. has been cheaper than dirt for a number of years. I've seen it for as little as AU$4 as stores were desperate to be rid of it.

Yeah, Mario + Rabbids is a lot easier than Codename STEAM but it has more in common with Valkyrie Chronicles than Mario + Rabbids tho.

I thought Codename STEAM was great, it was a shame it was a flop.

I did buy it and so far I love it. At first, I got nervous cause I thought it was way to hard, but then I realized I wasn’t playing the right way. (like letting aliens see me and also not using the green restoration valves)

Super awesome game. I get a little bit of a Bioshock Infinite, Columbia vibe in its own way. 👌@jump

Hey, thanks for your reply. I never played it after all these years... I just bought it today and played over 2 hours straight. It’s so awesome. I said to the other guy, I LOVE the Bioshock Infinite resemblance whether it was intended or not. I also don’t think it’s as hard as from what I heard. I mean it’s not easy to collect all the gears (if health is low, and you can just run to the goal instead of going back to the gears in some parts) but if you plan accordingly it’s a fair difficulty to me. Sometimes I got mad saying WTF in one enemy turn they darn near killed two of my guys, but after rethinking the map it was my fault. This game is a diamond in the rough for me. 👍🏻@NinChocolate
