I'm. Loving. This. Game!

This game is awesome. This is my first time ever playing it, and boy is it fun. I never looked too much into it before (as I didn't want to spoil anything), and everything is flowing together nicely.

I'm really immersed into it's "Metroid" style play (which is still fairly fresh to me, as I just started playing Metroid games not too long ago), and the bosses are fantastic! I won't give away any specific details, but I just beat a boss called Omega, in the desert area, and it was insane!

VVVVVV was my favorite sidescroller on eShop (with MSF! behind it, and Mudds after that), but it seems like Cave Story is going to take that place. Needless to say, I can't wait to see what the game has in store for the rest of the adventure.

This sounds like VVVVVV's "flip mode" fiasco all over again...

How do you get to the old woman's house in the desert area?

For those whom haven't played it, SPOILERS:

I've aquired the machine gun from Curly, fought Omega (which unlocked the lower area), but the only buildings I've found down there are an abandoned house with a dog, and a locked building at the end.

You guys should be thanking them for making Curly Story glitched, that's how worthless it is.

I think Nicalis should invest in a good playtesting team, or something.

Whenever their releases are delayed.

Based on VVVVVV's NoE release, You may be right on the money. Something to do with nothing getting past 12/21/12 perhaps?

You knows Nicalis is actually really good with their other games, right? DSI cave story and Steam/Mac CS had no problems on launch.

lol, that's less then 25% of the games they have released.

CS DSiWare had problems, as in NEVER PAL RELEASED.
Steam/Mac CS+ had no problems, but it's sorta hard to screw up when you port a PC game to PC.

Assuming that most / all of these targets were hit (the game did score highly) I think it's unfair to consider it a simple port job.

I'll give it those bonuses, but its still a port from PC to PC although some say its actually a Wii port.

And that's one game out of several Ports.

Shame, I thought this was gonna be the first no problem release with Nicalis.

Bbbbut you just ignored that CS DSi and CS+ PC were no problem releases. Lemmy's point is your reasons aren't valid.

Not releasing in a region, being a simple port job, and glitches all fall under the same umbrella of "problem releases"? If you operate by that logic, then Nicalis will probably never have a no problem release in your eyes.

Edit: Also, I should apologize for dissing you in the other thread. Obviously I didn't need to say that to get my point across.

Port job isn't a problem (which makes CS+ problem free) but overdoing it is ridiculous. Not releasing when you claimed you would is a MAJOR problem.

Glitches only are a huge problem if a large section of the game is broken, as in these releases, or the entire game is buggy like Sonic 06. Games like SBCG4AP had visible glitches, but nothing was broken.

I FOUND ANOTHER ONE!

Unlock nemesis challenge, and them exit, open up challenges again, and hit A. You will be in Time attack mode, even if it isn't unlocked!

For the record, this is an example of a minor glitch in my opinion. It's not game-breaking in the least bit, and you'd have to do searching to find it.

I want this, but I don't even have the cash.
