Topic: Can't Connect to Servers

Hello.
I have no problem connecting to the internet on my 3DS XL (the old one), however, when I go into my friends list, it says I'm offline.
I have restarted my 3DS twice and turned the internet switch on and off multiple times. I double checked that my 3DS was up-to-date with updates.

I am also getting an error code (001-0502) that says, "Unable to connect to the server. Please try again later."

I read somewhere that this means there's something wrong with your router, but my 3DS says I'm connected to the internet (I have three blue bars in the top left corner of the top screen) and I'm sitting in the room next to the one the router is in.

Please help. I can't play any games online.

It is a hacked 3DS?

@Jake-06 I did use Homebrew a couple times just for Animal Crossing. Could that be the problem?

@Jake-06 I guess this could be the case, however, I am not getting the same error code and message as those who have certainly been banned.

@incrediblecammi Either call up internet provider or call up Nintendo. It could be you WiFi chip in your 3ds. Unlikely, but its a possibility.

Can you access the e shop?

Then I doubt it's hardware related.
