Has anyone noticed that the bottom screen always has "3DS" on it instead of the game? i know the bottom screen isn't 3d... whats the use of the touch screen if there isn't anything on the bottom screen except "3DS"?
It is just that they only a. Want to show the top screen shot. b. The bottom screen has not been developed yet. c.Want to make sure that you are playing a 3DS.

Has anybody noticed that the 3DS's bottom screen is measured even smaller than that of the DS Lite's bottom screen? Weird.
According to the Nintendo factsheets it isn't, it is smaller than that of the DSi though if you meant that. DS lite: 3 inch DSi: 3,25 inch 3DS: 3,02 inch

I'm glad It's like that I was tired of my games graphics being turned to by bigger screens, most people don't see that stretch but its kind a obvious to me. :/
Perhaps some games require the bottom screen to be static because the 3DS's full power is needed for the top screen. Or maybe the games are just too early in development to have much of a bottom screen.
I thought the DS Lite screens were 3.12 inches? That's what it at least says on a few sites incluing Wiki.
Wikipedia can be edited be edited by anyone, and some people don't get their facts straight and start putting nonsense up there. The DS and DS Lite have the same screen size, which is 3.00
I'm pretty okay.

What do you even mean? I don't see how a smaller screen is going to prevent any kind of stretch, if the games are made for the system the should have the correct aspect ratio to begin with.
lol neither do I... If anything, going from a DS Lite to a DS XL would look a tad more pixily because the resolution is the same size, yet it's being displayed on a much larger screen. If that's what he even means.
While stalking this board, this was exactly what was on my mind the entire time. Ultimately, Nintendo is probably fully aware of this problem and is probably solving it in the same way it did for the DS lite to DSi and DS lite to DSi XL. I don't see it being a problem at all.
