@Everyone I jumped online about 7pm last night to race and there were 2 games up and running. I joined Rolands game first which was only him and me. He was hosting and didn't give it a minute to see if we could get a 3rd guy. Well the guy is awesome! he beat me by about half a lap each race. I only came close once and still lost by a full turn. Roland is awesome. Then I jumped out and Joined Waluigi. Also a very good racer who beat me I think 3 games to 2 games. I hopped out and Hosted my game and Waluigi joined. I let it sit about 3 minutes to see if we could get a 3rd racer which we did I forget his name. Waluigi won the first 2 races I took 2nd. The 3rd guy we got I guess got frustrated or something cause he jumped out. I raced Waluigi a couple more times then called it a night I think we split 1-1. It was a great time!
Thanks everyone for the races and I will see you next Friday at 7PM im going to make it weekly Get together anyone is welcome to join. When I host and you join be patient i'm going to let the connect sit at least 2 minutes to see if we can get more riders
@Everyone this game is so much fun once you get into it and open up the other bikes and riders I think the game is just as fun as Mariokart even though it plays a little different which is a good thing. I have not seen any of the bugs mentioned so far. This game is good old fashion fun and was done 100% right What impresses me most is the fact that you can have computer opponents online when the game doesn't fill up. I was very disappointed with F1 2011 on 3ds. There was no way to add computer opponents when you race online with a friend it just made the game feel so empty

@Everyone Just a little suggestion. When your hosting if you could please wait 2 minutes before starting the session it would be nice to at least attempt to get more racers in the game. When I host I am going to use a 3 minute timer so be patient when you connect to my game

I have definitely noticed! You've gotten really good online. I loved that we went back and forth, each of us winning races. Made it exciting not knowing who was gonna win each race.

Held off on game due to semi poor NL review. I believe it got a 6 or 7. While a 7 isn't terrible the price kind of scared me away at first (after checking the review out). I didn't mind dropping 10 for Denpa Men and 5-8 for Mutant Mudds, VVVVVV, Mighty Switch Force, etc... I assume most people in this thread will probably say this game is worth the money though.
It actually got a 5/10 from NintendoLife.
Other reviews have been much more positive, though.

If you like racing games, please buy this game! It is AWESOME! It is only $7.99 (for a $40 Nintendo 3DS experience). Excellent controls, courses, tricks, and presentation. The online play is silky smooth! I am a loyal Nintendo fan, so I believe that I have good taste.
@SethNintendo I understand you being apprehensive, and you have good reasons. The game is fairly short, with Time trials and Single race being your only P1 options besides 6 Grand Prix's and unlockables. The game shines in online, however, the course Canada is a glitched mess, but every other course is fine. The boost system is also hard, being only allowed to perform a boost stunt once per lap, you have to use a different boost each time. (ex Up + L, Down + L)
The graphics are nice for a spruced up DS game, but the music is nothing memorable. Not true, I can't forget the annoying tunes!
I too was apprehensive at first about getting this game but i'm glad i did. I am however, a racing game fan. So maybe that's why i'm enjoying this game so much. The Canada track is glitchy and frustrating, but everything else is great. I've been able to play online several times and it is fun. WIsh more people were on it though as i've only been able to play with one other person and the rest are computer controlled. There's been several times where i've been first place by a long shot and the host disconnects from the game, which is frustrating. But i guess you'll always have those that are sore loosers. Other than that, i'd recommend this game.

I almost didn't buy this game (I'm a fan of Renegade Kid, but not a big fan of racing games). I finally decided to get it late one night while browsing the eShop, and I'm glad I did. I've been playing it a lot more than I thought I would. I've found that most people's complaints about track design are easily remedied by actually being good at the game. It requires more skill than you might think!
I have a question, though. Has anyone else unlocked the Bomb Monkey character (you have to get Gold in all 6 World Tours)? Because in my copy of the game, the Bomb Monkey character looks exactly like the unlockable Mutant Mudds character. It seems like a glitch (missing or mis-matched textures, perhaps) to me. All the other characters have distinct clothing and helmets. The Mutant Mudds character has Max on his shirt and helmet ... and so does the Bomb Monkey character. I figured he would have the monkey from Bomb Monkey on his shirt or something.
