I found another little tidbit! If you press L or R on the menu the camera will automatically boot like always but there is a new QR code button. This lets you scan a QR code containing a URL and then takes you there via the Internet Browser. Pretty nifty

Nope! You couldn't delete data for StreetPass, Mii Maker or any of the pre-installed apps either, but now you can. Slowly but surely things are starting to take shape with the 3DS.

So does that mean I can delete stupid apps like Face Raiders?

Yes, I have been sending DSiWare to the SD card to make space for new DSiWare since DSiWare became available.
DSiWare DSiWare DSiWare.

Yea, you could always copy dsiware to sd card. Otherwise the 3DS would have filled up too fast. Find mii 2 is cool. The backgrounds are much better. Oddly enough, my son has the world icon on his streetpass plaza, but it's not on mine... Anyone else not have the world map after the update?

The 3DS Transfer Tool is also up and running and it looks good. Everything gets transferred except for the System Settings configuration and any stored credit-card information. Even eShop money gets transferred. All SD card data works as well.

@wildvine
that video had me laughing. reminds me how my two dogs start "play fighting".. I miss them sooo much. Thanks for putting up that video. Really made my day haha I have two chihuauas. I think all chihuauas are aliens lol eyes bulding, and how strange they can be. I call the smaller one Pichu (which is my brother's) and mine Pikachu. Or baby, peanut butter nose.. or anything that comes to mind. I call my brother's dog dark chocolate, or the "black one". And mine, caramel. Their names are Courage and Snopey, but I always call them by other names. Mostly "babies"

And I'll be updating my 3ds tomorrow. Really surprised on how the quality looks. Pretty decent, not bad.

It looks like you can only delete the data, not the apps themselves. It's like how you can't delete the internet browser on your iPhone. That thing is just always gonna be there. With the health & safety info, I think Nintendo has to have that there for legal reasons.

Does it transfer Activity Log data as well? As stupid as it sounds, this could determine whether or not I buy a second 3DS should a purple one come along. =P

I was able to convert a 3D video I had made a while ago and play it in 3D on the 3DS. Pretty cool, should be able to convert it back and upload it to youtube in 3D with a bit of fiddling around...

edit: by "convert it back and upload it to youtube" I mean upload a video recorded on the 3DS to youtube in 3D

Love the new stuff in StreetPass Mii Plaza!

Stupid pink puzzle pieces...

grumblegrumble

I don't even use Mii Plaza because nobody is ever at the gate and I don't know other people around me who also own a 3DS, just online. So I don't get a big use out of those apps, or StreetPass, for that matter. I did download the update, though. Where is video recording located??

It looks like it. The explanation says, "When performing a transfer, the data on the target system will be overwritten with that of the source system." It also talks about moving both "software and data" between the systems. I assume the data would include the data for the Activity Log.
