Topic: 3DS Ware - What are you buying?

So, looks like a disapointing 3DS E-Shop Launch Line Up, but what are you planning on getting?

I'm not disappointed. Excitebike 3D, free, Mario, and 300+ DSiWare games.

Gonna transfer "most" of my DSiware... no earthworm jim or aspalt ... Excitebike 3D and the Pokemon thing.

Gettin' Excitebike 3D and Pokédex 3D (obviously), import my DSiWare to my 3DS (sans Pinball Pulse, my Domo games, Flipnote and the Browser), then probably pick up SML, the other non-Alleyway VC game, and start picking up any DSiWare games I haven't gotten yet while waiting for the service to pick up steam.

I was planning on getting on SML, but it turns out it didn't get a 3D make-over (which I was expecting), so I might as well skip it. Still got my GB copy of the game. I'm also not gonna transfer my DSi games. Only picking up the free Excitebike and Pokédex to start of with.

I will get exicte bike and pokedex.
I will also transffer most of my DSiWare except for the restricted ones and Brain Age, because my mom loves that game and i don't want her to play with my 3DS (she's very serious when it comes to virus buster!)

Gonna get eveything But allyway, Then I'm gonna transfer over Alphabounce, and inchworm animation

Getting Mario, Excitebike, Pokedex 3D, and Alleyway, an I'll save my other $13 for later stuff.

think it is better to save it for the big titles like zelda and all the stuff coming at the end of this year (i hope)

I'm gonna download Excitebike (who wouldn't), Pokédex, and Super Mario Land. Just hope they'll have LA (not the city, lol) on the service in summer, 'cause I've never played it and am dying to get it. Also wish they'd have Kirby's Dreamland and Megaman up on the eshop in a few weeks, as Japan's getting those titles too. Unlike some others here, I've been a Phat man ever since the release of the original DS (insert over 9000 McDonald's jokes here), so I don't have to bother with transferring any DSiWare. Still, I might download some cool DSiware in the future, like Rayman, Shantae, and Mario & DK.

As for the ever-disappointing 3DSWare itself, apart from Pokédex, currently there's nothing substantial for me on the service, except that Megaman Legends 3 demo. Hope 3DSWare won't end up like DSiWare: full of shovelware and few good games, Well, I'm just happy I can download many Gameboy games in the future.

How are you guys transferring your DSiWare on your SD Card?

I only had a DS Phat and then a DS Lite, meaning I never upgraded to the DSi, so I don't have any DSiWare to transfer anyway. And it looks like the only things I'll be downloading will be ExciteBike and the Pokedex app. I'm saving money for the good stuff to come

I'm not buying anything yet, but I'll download the freebies until something I'm interested in buying actually comes out (although I must confess I might have actually paid the $5.99 for Excitebike if it hadn't been free).

I'm not sure if I'll bother transferring my DSiWare. If they actually went to the trouble of making the games display for the native resolution of the 3DS rather than scaling them, or if loading times were actually reduced, then I might be convinced, but I suspect playing DSiWare games will be as non-optimal as playing DS games on the 3DS.

I'll be getting Excitebike 3D as well as Pokedex 3D plus I'll buy Super Mario Land. Other than that all my DSiWare is coming over minus Pinball Pulse, 2 Domo games, Flipnote, Asphalt 4, and Sudoku Master. I also might browse over some old DSiWare and will probably buy Art of Ink and I have to shop for a new downloadable Sudoku. So that will be approximately 100 games on the way to my 3DS on Monday! I can't wait! My 3DS is about to become a lot more full BTW, does anyone know what the situation will be with playing DSiWare off SD Card? Have they said if it will work like the SD Menu on Wii? If I still have to switch my DSiWare around I'm gonna be seriously pissed! I want it all layed out for me at once.

I'll be getting super Mario land and maybe a few Dsiware games. I'm thinking possibly Shantae: Riskys revenge and Soul of Darkness. I really hope the first Shantae is made available at some point. Would I be missing anything by starting with the sequel?

You won't be confused. You don't need to know the story of the first game to play this one. All you need to know is Risky Boots is Shantae's enemy.

I remember seeing pictures of the first Shantae in a magazine and thought it looked like a boring sissy game.
I had no idea it was so popular. Now I wish I had paid attention to it.
