Picross Zelda Twilight Princess

For the month before the 3DS and Wii U eShops close for new purchases on 27th March, each day we're going to highlight a specific eShop game for one of those consoles and give a short pitch as to why we think it deserves your love and attention — before it's too late. The chance to add these to your library will be gone for good soon and, for one reason or another, these eShop-exclusives are close to our hearts.

Today, Gavin picks out a Platinum Point-ed Picross ...

So, what's it called?

My Nintendo Picross: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Does the job, we suppose.

Who made it?

Jupiter, or as they're otherwise known, the Picross folk.

What's the premise?

It's Picross, but with Zelda: Twilight Princess pictures.

Kinda obvious, really. Say what you like about that double-colon-ed title, but you know where you stand with it.

Why should I play it?

It's free!

Okay, it's not free — it'll set you back 1000 Platinum Points, but once you've got those you can head to the My Nintendo site in your region, spend those points on a code and download the game without giving Nintendo actual legal tender.

Also, it's a 3DS eShop exclusive and a Picross game with 45 Zelda-themed puzzles. What's not to love?

Even if you hate Picross puzzlin', who can pass up free Zelda music?

How much is it?

1000 Platinum Points.

Heading to the My Nintendo rewards page, there's a note in the 'Reward info' section that says "Reward available until 25/03/2023, at 9 AM [Europe/Madrid]" — that's two days before the eShop closes, so we wouldn't waste any time in getting those points redeemed and downloading the game sooner rather than later. You know you'll want it once it's gone.

We'll be back soon with another 3DS or Wii U eShop recommendation as part of this 'Countdown' series. Let us know below if you've already got this in your collection and share your thoughts. Also, feel free to nominate other games — we just might highlight those in the coming days, too.
