If you have never played this game, hence no nostalgia being involved, and you buy it then you are likely to be extremely disappointed. I am not envious of Japan in this case
@pamplemousse_mk "we're not quite sure why the developer picked the domestic port over the coin-op original, which would at least have offered fans a version they weren't so intimately familiar with."
Arcade games are coin operated in case you didn't know.
I've heard good things about this series from my friend who speaks Japanese. After seeing the (small amount of) gameplay footage I am certainly intrigued. I am surprised coverage on this title has been so small with its release so close
The problem for me is a lot of the good games I am interested in are never even localized and don't make it to the states. It's a vicious cycle. People don't buy the Wii U in the states, so they don't localize games to the U.S., so people don't buy the Wii U, and so on. There's more to it like everyone is saying... but this particular situation aggravates me
It's a love-hate relationship, me and ZombiU. Do your research and if you are still interested then definitely get it. If you are suspicious then don't get it. That's my opinion. If a sequel comes out and they make improvements based on what this Brunier admits were weaknesses they knew about, expect amazing things.
Ugh this game's testers must have told the developers how incredibly annoying and repetitive the cricket bat is right? This game was 2012's biggest disappointment for me mainly because I thought it would be one of my favorite of the year. My favorite thing is definitely the difficulty, and the multiplayer is interesting. If they improve upon this one and make a sequel, I'm game!
@clubmini I'm a 22 year old guy and I'm sure there are plenty of guys older than me that play Animal Crossing too. Just play what you're interested in, it's all about fun. I'd have a lot of regrets if I never played some of my favorite games just because I was worried what people would think about me.
