Pocketim, it was rated MA-13. The old-school version of a Teen rating. Pretty appropriate rating, I'd say.

I've noticed a lot of people hating on this week's release. Sure, it's no Castlevania III, but this game really is quite fun(ny).

Oh well. Let's just download it on Xbox Live Arcade. Who really doesn't have a 360? Plus, it'll probably actually be online and maybe have some enhanced graphics.

This game has aged horribly.

It was merely okay when it was released originally on the N64. The game was rather shallow and the single-player was over in a two-night rental.

It doesn't even use character models, but rather ugly-looking sprites. Not only that, but the emulation of the game is lacking? No Ghost Data support? What's with that? And, sometimes it glitches and runs too fast on Moo Moo Farm.

Ugh... sometimes things are best left in our memories.

If you're a fan of difficult action games this one is a no-brainer. Great graphics, music, controls, etc. It's all here. Easily the best of the old-school trilogy. Plus, you get different endings for each difficulty. My biggest feat was beating this on normal with three lives. Haven't been able to beat hard yet.
