The Fastest Fighters Compete In This Week's Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament

I know people hate sonic but I main him and I think the same thing, all his moves looks like he is spamming the same thing over and over agien, and I don't blame people for getting mad about it its just I feel like I never can play sonic now bc of it.

i know they mean shiek instead of Shulk, but why not include shulk too? after all he has the second fastest run speed in the game with monado arts

How do they not mention Kirby after confirming he's the fastest?

To clear some doubts, there will be a total of 16 fighters with the highest top speed to choose from. So it's very likely that other characters that run fast like Banjo Kazooie, Young Link, Pit, etc. will likely be selectable for this tournament.

@Snatcher I don't quite understand the complaints that Sonic's moveset has him in a ball too much. It's what he does, for one, but it's also part of 3 normal moves and 3 specials. I think the main issue there is just that they haven't pulled a Palutena and combined Spin Dash with Spin Charge (hold for one, press B multiple times for the other) and then given Sonic the Boost as a side B (charging based on damage dealt to Sonic and damage he deals, probably - I think basing it on the Rush UI and using the different colors to mark the power of the boost would make sense, and the implementation could maybe make camping a weaker strategy? I'm no professional designer, though.) I think some other move changes, animation and facial expression adjustments, and bringing in at the very least Sonic's Japanese and English voice actors to record specifically for Smash would go a long way towards making Sonic feel more like himself in Smash
