Bayonetta

Waiting for more news on the highly-anticipated Bayonetta 3 has become a bit torturous now, but we got a ray of sunlight in December last year when Hideki Kamiya revealed that development is "going really well". That's reassuring, but we need to see new footage pronto; since it got announced during The Game Awards 2017, there has been little tangible news on the game, although we'll forgive PlatinumGames as it did bring us the rather lovely Astral Chain.

Hopefully, more news could be on the way very soon indeed. In a chat with Inside Games (translated by Siliconera), PlatinumGames president Kenichi Sato has mentioned "several big announcements" for early 2020, which will surely include something on the upcoming sequel:

"Last year, we said that 2019 would be a year where the curtain rises for a new stage for PlatinumGames. We're a bit late on that, but I believe we'll have several big announcements to deliver early in the new year, so please look forward to that."

Well this all seems very exciting indeed - perhaps we'll even see the Umbra Witch fully return in style during 2020. Fingers crossed.
