Indie developer Chasing Carrots has revealed that twin-stick shooter Pressure Overdrive will be firing itself onto a Switch near you next week.
A "steampunk-shooter on wheels", Pressure Overdrive has you upgrading your buggy with more than 35 weapons and gadgets to take up the fight for 'La Resistance'. You'll need to overcome dozens of enemies and multiple bosses to fight your way to the very top of the online high score ranks.
The game's Campaign Mode offers more than 30 levels across three different worlds and in Freeplay Mode, you can go back and play these again under new conditions. An Endless Mode is also available, continuously increasing the difficulty, and all of these modes can be played in co-op if you prefer.
Dominik Schneider, CEO at Chasing Carrots, has shared the following in a press release:
“Pressure Overdrive will be the perfect Switch experience. We are looking forward to players being glued to their couches, frantically putting their thumbs to a test in order to master pure arcade action."
The game arrives on Switch on 4th April and will be available for €12.99.
As always, make sure to let us know if you plan on picking this one up with a comment below.

Looks like a mix between various genres and worlds, I'm liking it. I'll get this most probably.
looks good. the french announcer was an… interesting choice. 🥖
Damn, this looks fun.
Hmmmm this looks like a lot of fun. Darn, too many games to buy them all. Gonna have to play Euromillions tonight.
A very cool local-coop game experience, completed with a friend in one sitting 2 times, first original, then Override version, think will be the third time now on Switch))
Like the look of this a lot
Apart from the french aspect this has a very cool Mad Max Fury Road feel to the gameplay.
It looks freaking cool – hope it turns out to play well etc...
Looks good. Just hope the visuals & frame rate hold up on Switch.
Definitely like how the gameplay looks. Good combination of sh'mup + driving and jumping. Co-op is always a bonus. Way better than I expected from the "twin-stick shooter" headline.
Looks like an interesting twist on the shoot-em-up genre. Kinda like the classic run-n-gun games with a Mad Max-esque theme.
Somehow reminds me of Skyforce in a way, which is one of my favorite shmups of all-time, along w/ Darius Twin
