NIS America is bringing its epic RPG The Lost Child to Nintendo Switch this Summer, it has been revealed.
The title features a "Cthulhu-inspired menagerie of angels, demons and everything in between" according to the official PR, and will also be hitting PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
If you're a fan of the Shin Megami Tensei series then this should scratch an itch until the fifth mainline instalment arrives on Switch. Let us know if you'll be investing in this by posting a comment.

No gameplay in the trailer is a bad sign.
I'm always totally lost on this no-gameplay trailers. What's the point? I mean the atmosphere looks promising but...
Huge fan of SMT, this looks right up my alley.
Eh. Not my thing.
Soooo..... Knock off SMT?
Completely lacking in the themes and atmosphere of the Cthulhu mythos. Gameplay looks incredibly dull too, I'll be giving this one a wide berth.
The Lost Child? More like The Lost Gameplay. I feel like I've seen a very similar trailer of this already. It was probably during the NIS America Press Event 2018 broadcast recently. Speaking of NIS America, can we expect a Limited Edition for €100 with some cheap tat? Probably.
I thought this wasn't coming to Switch!
Sounds good. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on it.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE It was announced for PS4 (and Vita, I think?) at the press event. For some reason they didn't announce it for Switch then, which seemed odd to me so I'm glad it's actually coming over after all. I'd like to see some actual gameplay eventually, though.
My boi, trailers that show GAMEPLAY are what all true heroes strive for!
@Cronopi Same here. It's so pointless to put whatever epic sequence that in the end show little to nothing when it comes to gameplay, which is pretty much the selling point of a video game... at least to most people.
I'd like to see some gameplay.
@ArcanaXVI
It took me a minute to remember Lucifel's name and look, but I wondered about a possible El Shaddai connection the moment the light went on. That was a nifty little title; Michael's design is also vaguely reminiscent of Enoch's. A glimpse of gameplay would have been nice, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this.
Also, the MC is a nephilim, calling it now.
I need more than a trailer. I will keep an eye open till we get a review.
That child can stay lost if all he show us are just artworks and text.
Off brand SMT will always get my attention. For those still reading and interested, he's a trailer with Gameplay Footage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIB1uHpawv4
It's a first person dungeon crawler, so that's a big plus for me. I love the older SMT games over the 3rd person ones.
"Cthulhu-inspired menagerie of angels, demons and everything in between"
The designs check out. There's even a take on Cthulhu himself here. And Mastema - last time I saw this name in video games, he was male and ultimately bad news. Time will tell about this one's role, but the whole thing seems to be quite SMT-inspired indeed.
Ah, the classic 'no gameplay' video game trailer. What would we do without them.
I love cthulhu lore but I fekin hate no gameplay trailers. What the hell is this game?!?
Savages.
Trailers can't get more generic than this
I like Lovecraft books and this trailer does nothing to remind me about them. Imo this is completely uninteresting. Give me GC Virtual Console and Eternal Darkness please! MS-DOS Virtual console + Alone in the dark 1 would be a great thing too.
Looks like they raided a Call of Cthulhu roleplaying book for their monster descriptions and thought they'd make excellent "demons" and utterly missing the point about what makes Cthulhu/Lovecraft mythos interesting (the whole cosmic horror, beyond man's understanding, etc. etc not just "evil deities"). But hey, YMMV.
Lack of gameplay is just the icing on top.
@Fighter_Hayabusa tFrom what i saw in another video, gameplay seems to be first person view in story and in battle (like in older rpg like Ultima underworld, Lands of Lore etc)
It's so weird to see diverse games from NIS when I still associate them so strongly with grid-based strategy. They just used to release so many of 'em...
@Fighter_Hayabusa I think its simply a Japanese-style advertisement. They rarely show gameplay. Its always about the sexy characters, the world and hentai.
