The European Switch eShop's 'coming soon' list strikes again, confirming that TinyBuid's hardcore neon slasher Phantom Trigger is lined up for release on 27th July for £13.49 in the UK. Based on the trailer above, the game appears to be similar to Hyper Light Drifter in some respects, which has proven to be a very popular game.
Phantom Trigger is a slash-em-up with RPG and roguelike elements. Playing as a protagonist by the name of Stan, you will embark on a journey through surreal and twisted worlds.
The game is said to feature a deep combat system focused on unlocking combos and upgrading weapons, along with handcrafted story-driven levels mixed with roguelike-style dungeons. A branching story with multiple endings should be the icing on top of a delicious neon cake.

I thought I've seen this game before but it was something else. This looks interesting though, I may check the alpha. I'm a sucker for good rogue-likes.
I agree though, when I watched the video the first thing I thought of was hyperlight drifter.

Tiny Build has a lot of cool stuff that would fit the Switch perfectly and this is one of them.

I saw this on the eShop this morning and I was intrigued. I have been enoying my time with Implosion but this looks like a step above.
Unfortunately the £13.49 price tag is not impulse buy territory and I'll wait for reviews on it, particularly as my head will be all confused about whether I am a kid or a squid.
Well i guess if they're not gonna port Light Drifter this will do just fine.

Don't know how this one completely passed me by, definitely interested and I can certainly see Hyper Light Drifter being an influence which is no bad thing at all. Will give this a go for sure.

Wow, this is my type of game. Reminds me of the first Zelda game on NES or Link to the Past.
I enjoyed Mr. Shifty (even more so after the framerate update) so I will be sure to check this one out.

It looks nice and reminds me of Hyperlight drifter. Hyperlight drifter looks better though. However, I hate rogue-like. Its all rogue..rogue..rogue nowadays. Its a lazy excuse for not having to build some proper levels!
