Prepare to dust off that Balance Board in May.
Nintendo Italy lets the cat out of the bag.
Nintendo of Italy today published a press release confirming Wii Balance Board support for the upcoming arcade boxing revival Punch-Out!!. The article, roughly translated, confirms that players will be able to dodge left and right by shifting their weight on the Balance Board. The Board will be used in conjunction with the Wiimote and Nunchuk to provide all the immersion of a real bout with none of the debilitating head injuries. Huzzah!
This news comes hot off the heels of Nintendo's latest Punch-Out!! trailer, which can be viewed via the Wii's own Nintendo Channel or by clicking the video embedded conveniently below this sentence:

Well, everyone doesn't have a balance board, so I think it's safe to say it will be optional...
