Nintendo have confirmed that fans of the popular farming game will be able to become full immersed through using the Wii's unique control system. Set on an Island, Harvest Moon sees players preform all manner of farmyard tasks, from watering crops to caring for animal, via use of the Wii-mote.

Along with this came news that another Harvest Moon DS title is under development, Harvest Moon: The Island I Grew Up On. This is somewhat of a surprise as the first one has yet to be released. The game is set on an island and it is before the player became a farmer, so it looks like it will vary from the first DS title. Whats most interesting about this is that it will connect with the Wii Harvest Moon game. No specific details were mentioned, as both the DS and Wii games are set on an island, one could assume that they tell different parts of the same story.
