In some aspects I enjoy 3D Pixel Racing more then FAST League but it's just it's a different sub genre. FAST has more clever level designs and stuff.

Corbs, they are avid 360 racers man... coming from Xbox controls to Wiimote? I still can't get customed to the Xbox controller playing for 3 weeks now (the inverted button placement is what kills me).

Also with my old tv, I lost the original remote. I got a universe, but there's somethings that the universal can't do that the original could. I could change channels, volume, the numbers, power, sleep, mute, recall, but the one thing I couldn't do was bring up the menu. Even the DVR remote I have that is linked to my TV can't use it to switch between my Composite and Component connection.

@SamuraiShyGuy - :O

@KaiserGX - I should have clarified that statement. Several of them own Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles and play a lot of racing games on those consoles, but many of them are big Nintendo fans and love Mario Kart, as well as other racing titles on Wii. In fact, the majority of them much prefer the Wii console to the HD consoles (my friend Jeff is and will always be the biggest Xbox 360 fanboy in the history of gaming). :D

I've always loved the Xbox 360 controller and consider it one of the best game controllers ever. Having said that, there is something about the simplicity and feel of the Wii Remote, even on its side, that I love. Maybe it's the old-school feel, I don't know, but I've enjoyed using it this generation. :D

I hate the D Pad and the Analog on the 360. I noticed the analog grinds on the sides and there's this white dust in there because of it. Then the R trigger is squeaky. I used it to play Computer games though. The Xbox I have isn't mine, my friend just left it here cause there's a lot of people in his house and he doesn't get use of the TV much.

Whats Motoheroz.

@Corbie, Well, my brother scored a 360 elite from his ex-girlfriend, but we've never bought any games for it.

@KaiserGX, You don't know about MotoHeroz? NL has had a series of articles on it. Basically, it looks like the best thing on WiiWare in the foreseeable future. It's a sidescrolling racing game by the makers of Trials HD. You drive 4-wheelers and get powerups and take alternate paths and race your friends, but not online, because apparently there is no online vs mode, which is a shame.

I have a few more complaints about this game that I forgot to post originally, but they aren't a big deal. For one, I would have appreciated the ablility to drive in reverse. Secondly, one or two cars seem to be better than the rest. Finally, I wish there was a difficulty between easy and medium. There is a big jump in those two. Easy is too easy and medium is a tad too hard. Actually, I could manage medium if my TV wasn't so dark on the night levels. I Just have to accept last place when I play at night. :D

Finally some stuff for WiiWare. I will get 3D Pixel Racing and Kyotokei for sure. Not confident about escapeVektor yet. Looks interesting though.

Had one go due to time constraints this evening. Handling isn't a problem. Heaven forbid we have to learn how to control a car :O
Can't believe this got a 4 IIRC. It's at the VERY least a 6.5 IMO.

I liked the game. Impressive for only 40 MB, control takes some getting used too. The same for cutting corners, the game if very strict on that point.

Well, I tried the demo and I've got to say........What the H*LL were they thinking having the camera move around like that when you're driving?!
That was the bad thing. The good thing is that the car seemed to control really well, after I switched to first person so that I could see where I was going. I could be actually tempted to get this, but I would actually have liked to play it from behind the car. I guess I'll have to see if there is another mode like that where the camera DOESN'T keep switching around. If I can't I may still get it sometime, because of how it controls and feels.
I don't know why someone else would have a problem with the controls, unless they just don't like there cars to drift like that. That or they somehow have dificulty driving like that.

Ok. I found mode where the camera is behind the car. Funny thing is that it seems to control alot looser than in first person (which controls fine.)

Definitely worth the 5 bucks. Really enjoyable racer. Both my son and I prefer it to MotoHeroz. One thing missing is lap and course records. Not sure why that wasn't included. Otherwise a solid effort with lots of content.

Would anyone else besides @InvisibleTune recommend 3D Pixel Racing over purchasing Moto Heroz?

Why are you so hesitant to get MotoHeroz? 3D Pixel Racing is great, but it has nowhere near the content that MotoHeroz has. Plus, they are two very different games. Bust out the plastic and download both.

I'm hesitant, because I've made some regrettable WiiWare purchases in the past. Even though they were awarded with more than efficient ratings and many gamers had nothing but good things to say about them, I was still unsatisfied when it was all said and done. )<:

Overturn and WaterWarefare are two I can pull off the top of my head @SKTTR. But it doesn't really matter now, @RoryLee and @SamuraiShyGuy have persuaded me into downloading it. (<:
