Hi. is it possible to transfer your nintendo online id to another wii u console ? And can you take saved game data from one wii u to another wii u using a thumb drive ?

No. The NNID is tied up to a single console. You can't even use your game saves on your other Wii U even if you store it on a removable thumb drive. Plugging in the thumb drive on that other Wii U is useless as it won't see it at all even if it has the same file format (it won't even ask you to format it as if there's nothing plugged on the USB port at all). The thumb drive is encrypted once it's formatted & used on that original Wii U.

My second Wii U is now setting & collecting dust because of this (I mainly used it for watching Netflix). Playing on it means playing from the start to rank up with all my games as I cannot use my game saves from that other console.

then what happens when you have to send a system in for repair ? Can they transfr your nnid and all your saves?

All data is transferred by Nintendo in the event of a repair.
