Reason i ask is that i need to buy another as somehow i've done my last one in while playing Splatoon. Unfortunately as i bought my Wii U second hand I believe I'm not able to get cover so i'm just wondering if there are any plans anytime soon. Sort now til Christmas I am able to pick one up cheaper due to my limited funds. I'm In the UK if that helps.

Cheers.

There is very unlikely to be an official price drop before the NX is released. The best you can hope for is retailer sales.

Luckily, you're in the UK and retailers basically give the system away for free regularly.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Cheers @SpookyMeths. I'll keep an eye out. See whats about.

THe biggest thing Iwata said in regards to a price drop was due to how weak the yen is. Reggie mentioned the bundles would be worth the price but now they might have to throw more games into a bundle. I think Nintendo should do a Hyrule Warriors and Wind Waker HD bundle.

You may not get a better deal with a price drop. I recall that when Walmart offered a $99 door buster Wii years ago it came without any bundled games. That wasn't that much better than the standard $130 Wii that came bundled with a $40 game. Right now, you can get a $300 deluxe edition Wii U with a stand, gamepad charger/stand and 2 games collectively worth about $100. If Nintendo decided to release a stripped down version (no bundled game, no console stand, no charger/stand) for $250, would that really be a better deal?
