Topic: Playing Japanese N64 Consoles In PAL Region

I purchased a Japanese N64 off eBay but am hesitant to plug it in to a UK socket as voltage is 240v. I assume Japan has around 120v, so am worried that if I plug the Japanese console into a UK socket it will blow the power supply.

Does anyone else have a Japanese N64 and how do you play it? Will I have to but a step-down converter to get it to work? Also, can you use a PAL region power supply in the Japanese console because that would be much easier than buying an adapter.

Thanks.

Yes, you can use a power supply from a PAL N64, it is fully compatible with a Japanese console. Easier and more reliable than a step-down converter.
