Topic: My snes classic controller needs new contact pads.

I have the snes classic mini which I've owned for only a couple years now and I recently noticed some of the buttons were sticking. I suspected the rubber contact pads may have ripped out so i took it apart and sure enough that was exactly my problem. These classic mini controllers are apparently junk! I still have my original Snes ones and haven't had a single issue with them and I've been playing with them since 1991.

Nice seal of quality there on those Mini's Nintendo!

Yeah so anyway is there somewhere i can get new pads so i can fix them or do i have to buy new controllers?

You can buy the rubber backing contact pads online.
Try eBay or AliExpress

I assume both the original and snes Mini's have similar pads then right? I guess it's true what they say. They don't make em like they used to.

@Zeldafan79 you can also buy the wireless mod pcb board from 8bitdo to make your controllers wireless. I did mine for the nes mini and snes. You can then use them for your switch with a adapter

That would come in quite handy for those pathetic short cords on the Nes Mini! I've been thinking about getting and extension cord or something for those.

@Zeldafan79 that’s the first thing I did but don’t waste your money on the extension cords. Once I made my controllers wireless I enjoyed it more and played more of it.
I’ll tag you with some pics after work
