I've got to the level 5 boss on the GBC version of G&G I've put a load of lances, axes, torches and daggers into him but he just wont drop. I also heard there was a "cheat" to climb down the ladders then drop down the hole where the the floating cloud platforms cross to insta-kill him... I've also tried this but when I get back up to the boss he's gliched into what looks like a cloud of mess, made up of some firey part of the sprite sheet thats even harder to avoid.
Do I have a bootleg cart or a knackered GBA or just bad luck?
Just managed it (haven't seen a shield yet, though I didn't see a dagger until level 5) using the torch that I had previously failed to defeat him with... Though this time I took an alternate route and fought a red demon and picked up a continue on my way to the boss... not sure if any of that was a contributing factor?
