Virtua Fighter fans are losing their minds at the moment.
Looks like Sega is bringing Virua Fighter back, although in a limited capacity.
The video description suggests this will be exclusive to Japan arcades.
""Virtua Fighter", which was born as the world's first 3D fighting game in 1993, will be restarted as an esports title in Japan to commemorate the 60th anniversary of SEGA's establishment. Stay tuned for more details on the project in future updates."

Trying to temper my expectations. I love VF and still play VF5: FS on 360 quite a bit. I would definitely take a next gen remaster of that, but VF6 would be amazing.

Yeah, this isn't much, but I'm happy to see them doing something with the franchise again. VF5 vanilla and Final Showdown were some of the best 3D fighters of gen 7.
@Slowdive In Sega's defense, Sega Rally Revo was meant to kick off a string of new entries in their classic racing back catalogue. But no one bought it.

I always preferred Fighting Vipers to Virta Fighter. Fighters Megamix on the Saturn had a good mix of characters from both games, and the car from Daytona - in a fighting game.
