With the success of adaptions like Sonic 2, The Last of Us, and (hopefully) Illumination’s upcoming Mario movie, it seems like more and more video game franchises have a shot at getting a film and/or series. That being said, what games would you like to see get this kind of treatment?
Personally, I think a TLoZ anime would work really well. Let’s be honest, a live-action adaption would look uncanny, and a film wouldn’t be able to condense the entirety of the lore within 2-3 hours. An anime would fit the series’ art style, and would have a longer total runtime.
Other things I would like to see are:
Splatoon
Metroid
Kirby
Another kind of Pokémon Movie, or a Mystery Dungeon series.
A Wario and Waluigi spin-off.
The foreseeable Luigi’s Mansion spin-off

I prefer a different approach, rather than waiting for a rubbish movie or show based on a game I instead like to think the rubbish game based on the movie/show was actually a game first and made into a great movie or show.
The Godfarther, if it drops all that rubbish wannabe GTA stuff you could have a really good crime drama movie.
Deal Or No Deal could make for a really good game show.
ET could make for a really good 80s style kids movie, think Starnger Things.
Beverly Hills Cop even though it's a shooter I think it could translate into an comedy.
@Anti-Matter At least a series of animated shorts would be nice. They could deeper explore the lore of the fighters.
@JadeKitsune There aren't as much western animated adaptions for video games as there was, say, two to three decades ago, at least to my knowledge. Kind of a shame, honestly.

@JadeKitsune As I said, not that many. The Cuphead Show was really good, though. Does most of the characters justice.
I remember that one time when Nintendo announced the Splatoon "anime" and released it to the public. They were basically official dubs of the mangas, with some slight motion and all that. A proper series would be nice.
